This review is from the bottle but I also just drank this on tap last week. Nice looking beer, tall fluffy one inch crown that reduced to a nipple. Heavy sweet hop aroma, ruby red grape fruit, I do hit ginger but it is faint, I only think I smell pine because I read it in the deScription. Aroma is good not great. Taste is crisp but not intense, highly drinkable. Woody peach flavour, hints of ginger, dusty finish. After taste lingers in a nice way. Beer seemed way better on tap but that might have been the company I was with. Brew is getting sweet as it warms. Why do I enjoy watching "Gold rush Alaska" so much. So easy drinking, Wish it was better.

Tap at Fairbar. Hazy amber body with an off-white head. Sweet, fruity and hoppy aroma. Likewise taste, with heavy bitterness and spicy flavours. I could not taste the ginger, but there was a slight burn from it. Medium body with average carbonation. Bitter and hoppy finish. Very tasty, and more of a christmas IPA than others I have tried.

Pour into giant snifter, super active head and bright gold body. Nose of mineraly yeast, some stonefruit and citrus zest, no pine, no ginger. Flavor is the same; mineral off-flavor, heavy malt presence, not enough hops, fairly sweet. I suppose some festive pine and spice notes as it warms...Did I get a bad bottle? This was pretty disappointing. Too much undesirable mineraly notes.

tap at Fermentoren Aarhus. Pours a hazy golden with a big, white head. Aroma has sweet caramel malts, hops, resin, pine, not really any ginger, bread, very big malt presence. Taste is pretty sweet, but with a fairly nice hoppy bitterness to it. Pretty full bodied, average carbonation. Maybe a hint of the ginger in the late after taste.

From tap. Pours hazy golden with a white head. Aroma of resin, spruce, light caramel, seems sweet. Taste is a bit on the sweet side, with some light notes of nuts, caramel. Heavy notes of resin, spruce, light citrus, substantial bitterness. Alcohol well hidden. Too sweet for my taste, but quite enjoyable.

330 ml bottle from Ammersin Centerstore.
Amber, hazy body, with a big, creamy, lacing, white head.
Aroma of grapefruit, pine, grass, orange, some passion fruit, some spices, some biscuit.
Tastes of grapefruit, orange, pine, resin, spices, biscuit, some alcohol.
Medium, creamy mouthfeel, with a lively carbonation.
Finishes bitter, medium dry, piney, zesty, resinous, spicy, a bit malty, with some alcohol warmth.

Nice one. More on the heavy side, with a full, sweet malt backbone, but also with enough bitter, aromatic hops. Alcohol is quite present. I don’t get much of the ginger, except some spiciness from the background. Overall nothing outstanding, but nonetheless a nice, warming IPA for winter.
