Ruddy brown pour. Sharp aroma of grass, pines, fruit (mango). Flavor is resin, toffee, grass, flowers and fruits. Great tasting, intense but not what I’d usually think of when I think DIPA!

330ml bottle from Archive Beer Boutique 200614. Everything about this beer is good, from the hazy orange colour to the hop wallop in the nose and mouth.

I’d guess this was a barley wine blind.. The bitterness is straight out bitter, the mouthfeel is way too full, but quite creamy. Not a lot of fruitiness, malt dominant, the malt reminds me of 1000 IBU’s malt profile, but with 100 IBU instead, alcohol actually comes forward, and as noted, the bitterness is just sharp. Decent Barley wine.

Clean amber color, small white head. Sweet aroma of tropical fruits, caramel, malt, hops, pine, herbs and honey. Taste is sweet too, has similar notes, with heavy bitter finish and hoppy aftertaste. Full body and average carbonation. Nice double IPA, quite enjoyable.

330ml bottle from Brewdog online store. Pours a deep orange-brown amber colour, foamy off-white head and aroma of caramel, fruity mango, orange citrus, pine, grassy. Taste is sweetish biscuity malt caramel nicely balanced with honey, orange, pine notes and grassy bitterness. Oily mouthfeel, medium to full bodied, soft carbonation, dry bitter warming boozy finish. Very drinkable DIPA.

330 ml bottle from Premier Gourmet. Pours a murky orangey brown with thin off-white head. Aroma is tree fruit and pine with some sweet alcohol notes. Flavour is sweet and fruity with lots of pine resin, doughy biscuit and some alcohol. Mellow carbonation. Medium-full body. Nice.
