3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draught @ cafe viking. Pours murky amber with a Golden orange hue very small egg white head. Cleared up a bit as I was drinking though. . Aroma harsh sour hops, farty, caramel malty sweetness, quite sweet, heaps of bitter grape fruit and orange, bready notes, sour tangerine, a bit cheesy as well. Mouth feel is a bit oily and you get some warmth from the alcohol. Taste: loads of dry bitter grape fruit, spruce and pine and grains, heavy malty a lot of caramel and quite sweet. But you need that to counter the massive bitterness, you get some sweet fruity notes as well like peach, tangerine and orange. Ends dry and bitter. Nothing subtle a

Murky burnt tangerine pour with a modest eggshell head. Orange peel, bitter grapefruit, and tart lemon. Moderate honey and evergreen...not bad but nothing to write home about.

Cloudy copper pour. Definitely one of the better resiny DIPAs I’ve had. Malty and quite sweet. Resiny in flavor (with some pine notes), but perfectly in balance (resin seems to have a way of becoming overpowering; see, e.g., El Toro). Super enjoyable and drinkable, with a nice syrupy mouthfeel courtesy of the resin I suppose. Hop heads will be disappointed though. Hides its ABV (9.75?!?) amazingly well. Buy it. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Zesty, floral, HOPPY, a big IPA that could have never been made by just 1 brewery. Mikkeller and BrewDog have gone the mile on this one...

Bottle. Pours a dark amber with a reddish tinge to it and a small head. Nose is definitely hoppy and bitter with some subtle floral elements to it. Taste is only slightly bitter, but the malts balance it out reasonably. OK.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle from Mane Liquor. Pours a thick, dark burnt orange. Brilliant, pungent peachy hop aroma with a huge raw honey malt sweetness. The nose is huge. So is the flavour. Delivers the same raw honey sweetness (also a touch of butterscotch) with exotic fruit (tangy peach) taste. Thick body and balanced bitterness. Be right back, getting another one.

Uploading old ratings that were missing comments. Good IPA but a little forgettable. Do recall a nice malt backbone and some cattiness from the Simcoe.

Poured from a bottle into my teku. Very dark amber pour with an off white head that dissipates quick. Smells big on pine hops, some malty sweetness. A little perfumey. Tastes sweet like toffee, but huge hops hit you right after. The >9% abv is apparent.
