Part of Advent calendar from Mikkeller. Dark orange burnt orange, gold, very small head. The nose is very sweet, resinous, dank, pine forward with some caramel and oats. Taste is extremely bitter. ABV is well hidden. I like the finish a lot. a juicy / dank pine cone with tangerine juice. it’s nice.

December 15, 2014. Bottle at home, best before july 15, 2015. (5 months old IIPA included in the Mikkeller julepakkekalender...)
Amber with a small white head. Aroma is pine, caramel, orange, notes of higher alcohol. Taste is medium sweet caramel with bitter pine and orange, finish is dry bitter with a caramel base. Medium bodied, soft carbonation. Clearly showing signs of age and is past it’s prime.

Aroma: Smelling of bread, orange, pine and vanilla.
Appearance: A hazy amber colored beer. A off-white head with good lacing and good curtains.
Taste: Tasting sweet bread, troipcal fruits, orange marmalade and peel.
Palate: Medium carbonation, a soft and oily texture. A big body with a somewhat dry finish.
Overall: Sweet, hoppy, potent, a good DIPA.

Apperance: Pours dark orange with a nice head that fades quickly. Aroma: Smell doesn’t give away much: bread caramel, very soft. Taste: Pine, caramel and alcohol in the taste before a gorgeous bitter aftertaste fills the mouth to stay there forever. Great.

This is a great IIPA. Not as insanely bitter as some other highly rated IIPA’s this one has both flavor and intensity to boot. Well balanced malt and hop character with high drinkability. Little bit of alcohol burn though with 9,75%! Recommended

Good intense Ale. Toasted, hoppy and bitter. Orange and grapefruit. A good example of an DIPA.
