Mikkeller I Beat You Medium orange with a thick white head and good retention. Aroma of caramel malts with a huge resiny hop profile and a whiff of booze. Flavor is thick resiny hops with a mild citrus note, but mostly pine resin. Bittersweet from the malts makes it somewhat balanced. Overall a good brew.

Bottle. Deep, burnt orange, little hazy with small, very light brown, densed head. Poor lasting and lacing. Very rich and strong aroma of tropical fruits (mainly melon), citrus and pine. Some booz noticable, but it’s still very nice. Taste is sweet along with bittter hoppy accents, great balanced malty profile sweetness. Medium to full body, medium carbonation, sticky and oily texture. On general very nice and drinkable DIPA. Sweet, but still with strong bitter accents.

16.11.2013. Tuoksussa reilu humala ja sitrus, greippi, raikas. Maussa huomaa prosentitkin. Ensin tulee raikas sitrus, humalan purenta, voimakas greippisyys, lopussa vielä kuiva humala.

Bottled, with date 15 VII 2015. Pours golden/light amber and clear, with yellowish head which is rather frothy and disappears quickly. Very good aroma! Intensive malt sweetness mixed with strong melon scent, with a pleasant alcohol (rather liqourly) background. Taste is very sweet and also white fruits, but right from the beginning it’s attacking - those flavours mixed with alcohol power and bitterness, which is quite unusual: again white fruits and powerful, but quite short. Like a quick punch, and then only leaves some milder taste on the tongue. Medium to full bodied, a little oily, medium carbonation. Alcohol warms the throat a little, but it’s well composed in the beer, yet perceptible and pwoerful. One of the best IIPA I tasted - the smell is amazing, as well as the taste. But really a hardcore one.

Day 14 of Julepakkekalender from Mikkeller. Bottled.

Aroma: Malt and hop aromas. Slight whiff of cinammon.
Appearance: Pours a copper colour. Light head.
Taste: An upfront taste of treacle and molasses, with a malt finish. Hint of caramel, and a bitter aftertaste.
Palate: Smooth and sweet at first, with a bitter lingering aftertaste. Medium body. Light carbonation.
Overall: Not a very heavy drink, considering the ABV. Despite the sweetness at first, the bitter aftertaste can be overwhelming.

Tap at Le Senk. Clear amber color with thick off- white head. Strong citrus hoppy aroma with resin, nutty notes. Caramel malt, burned sugar, fruity notes in taste followed by nice citrus hoppy bitterness. Alcohol is evident but not in disturbing way. Long hoppy bitter finish. Tasty.

very sweet. taste good. I love this button. alought bit. high alcohol. Aroma is one of beer’s most complex features. Aroma is propelled by lively CO2 and dampened by pillowy head
