Bottle from Sterk Avondverkoop Amsterdam. Apparently it is brewed in Lochristi-Hijfte in Belgium, which is a bit strange, since Mikkeller is obviously Danish. As far as the aroma, there is plenty of grapefruit with a bit of malt. Intoxicating. Nice golden colour heading to amber. Overall the flavour is bitter and complex. Well balanced with a lively palate Overall this is great beer. I like it a lot.

Hazy orange pour, little head. Grapefruit, clementine, Candi sugar on the nose, with some strong resinous notes. Sweet start, lots of resin, some citrus, medium bitter finish.

330ml bottle. Hazy, dark golden colour with small to average, thick, frothy to creamy, fairly lasting and lacing, off-white head. Intense, citrusy hoppy aroma, lots of lemon, some pineapple and grass, lemon biscuit. Taste is intense citrusy hoppy, notes of lemon, mango and passion fruit, bitter hop notes, juicy, reminds of ’Langnese Split’ (ice). And again the question arises: What’s it all about those Mikkeller beers? Exclusive access to the best hop varieties? Or is it the genius of perfect usage? A combination of both? Whatever - simply aaaaawwwwesome!

Hazey light golden, nice wee crumpet of a white head. Full on lime and white grapefruit nose. Creamy lime and pine with a lemony bitterness after the initial taste. Silky enough carbonation . Finishes slightly creamy, lovely and crisp for the ABV. Steely citrus linger.

Had this in bottle at Shrewsbury Folk Festival, Sunday 24th August 2014 Pours hazy orange/amber with a sticky off-white large frothy head. Very full on bittersweet, quite thick and slick in the mouth, strong in the mouth, citra does well against the sweet malty body. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov15 3.8

Bottle. Hazy dark golden with white head. In aroma malt, Citra hops notes plus unfortunately sulfur. In taste nice malty base, hoppy flavours, medium to high bitterness. The beer is medium to full bodied, medium carbonated. Very well balanced IIPA with a little disappointing aroma (sulfur) - proper batch should be great.
