Great imperial IPA. Strong spicy citrus aroma. Cloudy orange and tan color. Medium weight but slightly dry palate. The thing about Mikkeller beers is how well the flavors blend. Caramel sweetness on the backend with a distinctive mosaic bitterness that adds a spicy and peppery hint.

Woah, has a papaya (cheesy feet) fragrance. There's also some dank malt underneath. Taste has a very mildly sweetness, but luckily the papaya funk doesn't follow through as big onto the palate. There's some tropical notes of pineapple as well but it's all accompanied by a light bitterness. Overall the flavor has a big maltiness with some tropical fruits and dank hop bitterness.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle from Cotteridge Wines. Smells luscious - like a raspberry carpet. Taste is thick and fruity, like me on a wet weekend in Blackpool. Tropics + forest fruit. Dry crunch to these large hops. Goes down lovely - again like Blackpool.

Day 17 of Julepakkekalender from Mikkeller. Bottled.
Aroma: Big hop and fruit aroma upfront. Hints of raspberry, and pineapple, oddly enough. A floral aroma.
Appearance: Pours a grapefruit juice colour. Big, white head.
Taste: A sweet and sour combination. Hops, a somewhat floral taste, and a hit of sour raspberry.
Palate: Mild bitterness, and sweetness, throughout. Full body. Medium carbonation. Creamy mouthfeel.
Overall: What is going on with the aromas in this one? Simply amazing. The taste is great, but is outshined by the aroma for sure!

Aroma is a deep aroma body with pineapple, passionfruit, pineapple needles, clove, lemongrass and some light roasted sweet malts. Taste is a nice sweet maltiness with caramel hints. There is light dark fruit here aswell. Hop profile is very well balanced with light tanin. Appearance is a hazy orange with a medium pearl head that retains well.

330 ml bottle from Premier Gourmet. Pours a murky orange colour with large off-white head with decent lacing. Aroma is floral and piney hops with some tropical fruit and a light graininess. Flavour is flowers, spicy resin and lychee with a mellow grainy character underneath. Alcohol is subtle for the ABV. Quite nice.

On tap, very bitter, kinda stale hops. Wish I could taste these fresher. But I assume they are transported across the Atlantic via 16th century sailboat.
