3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of LordValentin. Pours a cloudy opaque golden with an off-white head. Funky, Bretty, farty nose. Medium body, very fruity at first with quite some sweetness to it. And then the Brett comes rushing in. Bitter alright but without any particular aromatic freshness. Easygoing and nice - if not out of this world. 250413

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Corked and caged 75cl bottle, with Batch #2 and November 2012 on the bottle, that when the corked popped off yummy hop aromatics rushed into my face. It pours with a slightly hazy gold body supporting a semi loose yet slightly tight dirty white head of foam. The aroma offers up lemon, lime and orange peel citrus notes as well as complimentary whiffs of wild yeast tartness and wet warm open meadow. The taste is light and crisp and offers up soft lime and lemon notes as well as smooth sweetness and yeasty tartness. Then toward the finish flowery meadow notes join in creating further depth while maintaining a pleasing harmony. The 8% ABV is well hidden and is drinking more like a 6%’er. Nice stuff.

Besides scores - Unfortunate nonsensical notes from tasting...sorry. Did not find this to be as outlandish as some, but rather quite approachable. Would like to have again. I think the farmhouse qualities worked in quite nicely.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle, 75cl corked. An unclear, orange-golden beer topped by a small, off-white head. The aroma is very funky, with peppery hints, pink grapefruit, lemon peel, some barnyard and pale malts. Full body, pleasant carbonation, soft on the palate. Lots of flavor, peppery hints, pink grapefruit, some woody hints and a solid dose of brett. Lasting finish with all the good flavors found initially. Wonderful. 130420

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
750 ml caged and corked bottle, Batch #2, bottled November 2012. Served in a Unibroue tulip, the beer pours a hazy straw gold color with a couple inch frothy white head. Head retention and lacing are both good. Aroma is very nice, the brew smells like grassy and citrusy (mango, lemon peel, grapefruit) hops, funk, white grapes and bready malt. It tastes like citrusy (tropical fruit, lemon peel, grapefruit) and grassy hops, brett, apricots, and some herbal/floralness. Mouthfeel/body is light/medium, it’s a bit slick and creamy, and is well carbonated. I think it’s a good brew, and definitely worth a try. $13.99 a bottle.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle. Pours cloudy deep orange amber with a gigantic cloudy light orange head, slow to dissipate and leaving nice sticky lacing on the glass. Aroma is Brett, pine, citrus. Flavor is the same, lightly sweet, light bitter, light funk. Medium body, champagnelike mouthfeel, creamy. Very nice - I love what Anchorage does with Brett...
