65cl bottle fro hopduvel in Gent. Nice dark amber, copper body with very big and sparkling off-white head. Aroma of citrus, grapefruit. Nice light sour citrus taste and bitter hops. A little too strong carbonation. **

Thanks to Matt for this bottle! Pours a very hazy golden hue, with a large quickly dissipating head. The aroma on this one might be as fresh as I’ve ever smelled in a beer -- pungent, but absolutely delightfully crisp. Vibrant carbonation, too. Take a grassy Belgian farmhouse ale, give it the intrigue of a healthy dose of hops, and then the depth and funk offered by brett -- great concept, and well executed. Flavor is right in line. Dry finish, with lingering grassy hops on the back end. This would be an absolutely ideal sunny summer day brew. I’m impressed!

Pours lively hazy light amber with pillowy offwhite head. Sweaty feet, sherbet hops and silage on the nose made up for by intensely bitter taste followed by citrus pith and mango, dry finish. Great level of carbonation that foams in the mouth like sherbert, with grassy yeast flavours. Interesting and fairly challenging beer.

Cloudy light orange pour. White head. Lots of tropical fruit, mango, guava, grassy hops, lemon zest, brett funk, leather. Really a cool mix of funk and hops!

(Batch#2 nov.

Been awhile to review. Need to get back on the horse... Wonderful earthy and refined IPA. Nice peppery bite on the nose. Taste has the barnyard balanced with citrusy (especially grapefruit) and tropical taste. Chewy mouthfeel. Wonderful interesting stuff.

Bottle in Mesa. Pours a hazy yellow orange appearance with an off white head. Quite funky, spicy bretty, pineapple, big citrusy aroma. Refreshing zesty spicy yeasty, barnyard, a bit chewy, delicious mango, orange citrusy flavor. Fun stuff to drink.

First taste was tart, juicy lemon with a hint of apricot, a touch of malty sweetness, and substantial brett funk. As the beer warmed, the brett mellowed and melded more into a backbone of sweet grains and fruit flavors: peach, mango, more lemon, tangerine, and grapefruit. I took about an hour to sip my tulip, and the more the beer developed, the more I liked it. I felt this was a nearly perfect blend of sweet/funky/bitter.

750ml bottle. Batch #2, bottled Nov/2012. Mostly clear slightly pale yellow color. Big foamy 2-finger thick white head. Leaves little bubbly lace. Medium to bigger body. Awesome soft, lighter bright carbonation.. Classic Anchorage texture. Awesome citrus (orange, some light lime) flavors, very zesty. Some spruce. Great mildly funky, estery aftertaste. Nice zesty sweet, light bitter in the finish. Nice, subtle tartness. Pretty tasty, unusual IPA.
