Nice golden color w/ big pillowy white head. Aromas & flavors are all of the good parts from a funky farmhouse brew & west coast style IPA. Dank, barnyard, grapefruit, funk, sour nectarine, dry, pine. A perfect combo & balance of both styles!

"Not only is this substantially funky and dry, but the hops seem to have been ramped up from what the original Invasion was. This is a lovely, if a bit overpriced, bottle of beer. VERY similar (as hoped and expected) to Anchorage Bitter Monk. Bitter, fruity, dry, funky. Nice!

The beer is light orange and thoroughly hazy with a white cap. Aromas of citrus, lemon peel, grass, funk, earth, hay. Interesting beer. Hop character and brett funk work well together. Intriguing and enjoyable.

Tropical hop smell. Medium carbonation with a bit of foam. Intense hop taste that I don’t like.

Bottle with the sweet monster artwork. Pours a hazy light orange with white head. Aroma is fruity hops and fruity brett mainly. More farmhouse elements come through on the taste -- zesty and funky with some pineapple. Finishes quite dry with a long funked-out finish. Interested to see how this one develops, the hops don’t dominate so I think there’s some potential for aging.

750ml bottle from Andersons in Toledo. Batch #2, 2012. Yellow gold pour with a huge bubbly white head. Aroma of straw, herbal, funk, floral, lemon. Tastes are brett, hay, grapefruit, pepper, peach. Very nice and unique to me. Zesty farmhouse and funk.

Brown bottle, 1 pint 9.4 ounces, via Importations Privées Bièropholie (merci Hughes!), savoured on August 29 2014; eye: after removing the cage, a loud Bang! Surprised me and the cork ended up hitting the ceiling but surprisingly not much beer was ejected from the bottle, orangey with a voluminous beige head made up of rather large bubbles, light lacing; nose: citrusy hops, light Cointreau, light musk, light stable; mouth: citrusy hops, pine, musk, farm, light medicinal, Brettanomyces yeast, mild astringency, semi-dry finale in musk with presence of resinous hops, medium-full body, rather carbonated, mildly bitter, slick texture; overall: fine FRANÇAIS Bouteille brune, 1 pinte 9,4 onces, via Importations Privées Bièropholie (merci Hughes!), savourée le 29 août 2014; œil : après avoir enlevée la bague, un Pop! sonore impressionnant m’a surpris et le bouchon de liège s’est retrouvée au plafond par contre peu de bière a été expulsée de la bouteille, orangée avec une mousse beige volumineuse formée de bulles plutôt grosses, légère dentelle; nez : houblon citrique, léger Cointreau, léger musc, léger étable; bouche : houblon citrique, pin, musc, étable, léger médicinal, levure Brettanomyces, astringence moyenne, finale semi-sèche en musc avec présence de houblon résineux, corps moyen-corsé, plutôt carbonatée, moyennement amère, texture coulante; en résumé : bien

Bottle 750ml Corked/Caged: When I popped the cork it let a very faint pop sound, lets hope that was not a bad sign. Poured a hazy bright orange with some floaties. The head is white and sounds of carbonation bubbles can be heard, makes me feel better about the original sound of the bottle. Aroma is very strong fruit hops, a light spicy medicinal hint as well. Taste is a bitter citrus grape fruit with fresh hops, spicy peppery feel to the tongue and dry finish.

Bottle... Cloudy yellow pour with a small, fizzy, white head. The aroma provides muskiness, citrus fruit, pine resin and shortbread. Medium-bodied with a sandpaper mouthfeel and stinging carbonation. The flavor is pleasantly bitter and dry. The brettanomyces worked well to eliminate most of the residual sugar, but surprisingly, this isn’t over-attenuated. I feared it would be. Nice IPA. Bottle provided by growler!

Bottle. Hazy yellow/golden body with a frothy white head. Funky and zesty orange and grapefruit aroma with a light pale malt sting, light peppery. Taste follows due, dry and zesty brett notes with grapefruit, peach, pine, long zesty refreshing finish. A really great beer, Anchorage hits the spot yet again!
