3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Large pop and highly active carbonation. Pours a large frothy white head atop an active, carbonated clear light gold body. Nose is highly yeasty, peppery and filled with green leaf. Great Brett front, with a strong IPA base. Nail polish and apple cider finish. Delicious, but not worth the price. Purchased at Cascadia Liquor (Quadra) in Victoria, for $22. Sampled at 12*C in a tulip glass.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
A 750ml caged and corked bottle from Batch #4, bottled in October 2015. Poured into a Mikkeller long stemmed tulip glass. It poured a cloudy golden straw yellow colour with a two finger white head with good retention and left great lacing. Aromas are big juicy tropical mango and pineapple, citrus lemon, lemon peel, lime, orange, some brett and funk with a hint of black peppercorn and herbs. Taste is quite similar to the aromas with tropical mango and pineapple shouting out followed by lots of citrus lemon and orange, peel and rind. There’s some light farmhouse funk, hay and pepper spice on the finish. Dry, light to medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Overall, just brilliant. Brett doesn’t always work, but it works so well in this Farmhouse IPA. Very nice tropical and citrus aromas and taste that worked well together and coupled with the light farmhouse funkiness was very balanced. The 8% abv just did not feel like it was there and I was drinking it like it was a sessionable beer. A must buy beer in my book.

750ml bottle @Cimmeria. 18-06-2016.
Batch: 4, October 2015.
In short: hoppy saison.
Pours hazy pale gold-greenish with frothy white head. Short head retention, some lacing. Citrusy, tangerine, little barnyard nose. Light body, high carbonation, crispy texture. Taste is little tart, citrusy, dry aftertaste. A hoppy saison. Good.

UPDATED: JUN 18, 2016 Bottle form SlackerMads (euro local swap), many thanks! Pours light hazy yellow with a white head. Lots of tropical fruit, pineapple juice, mango, passion fruit, lemon, brett funk, hay, pepper, orange zest. Very juicy and easily drinkable (despite the 8% abv). Lovely.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle. Colour...hazy golden-yellow with a corpulent white head. Nose...funky and lemony with hoppy notes and something almost cypress like. Palate... full, frothy, gorgeous and dripping with hop cones and tart funk. There’s loads of zippy, fresh citrus and biting hops on the mid palate and the finish is long, fresh and peppy.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Opalescent bright golden with a large frothy white head, good lacings. Aromas of funky barnyard, straw, hay, young apricot and green pineapple develop. Effervescent and tangy, lightly slick texture with a light-medium rather slender body, coming at a surprise at such abv. Briskly sweet and offering a nice fruity hop bitterness with light funky acidity. Short light juicy finish, drying out at the back end. Nice one.

750 bottle to tulip. Pours unfiltered gold, white foam head. Aroma of lemon, clove spice, pine wood, orange rind. Taste of lemon tart, clove, coriander, white bread, stone fruit and old sour white grapes. It’s a good brew. Probably wouldn’t be as good without Mikkeller’s name on it. Haha

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
750 ml bottle. Slightly hazed pale straw pour. Tall white head, rocky and sticky. Aroma is lemon zest, tropical fruit and spice with a little. The brett influence comes through more in the flavour which while dominated by citrus / tropical hops has some funkiness. Moderate bitter finish with a slight tartness.

I was actually hoping this would give me a state tick for Alaska. Oh well. 15 Euro for this bad boy here, let’s see if it was worth the price. Hazy pale yellow beer wit ha huge white head. Yeasty notes on the nose, with banana and floral aromas. Medium sweet, light sour taste, some weak gentle hops. Aftertaste is almost soapy. Pleasant beer, but underwhelming for the price - also this is anything but an IPA, the classification is a joke.
