3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bomber from The Davis Beer Shoppe in Davis, CA. Pours hazy golden amber with a creamy near-white head. Aroma of resin over lightly toasted caramel. Med + body. Flavor is floral and resin over light sweet/roast caramel. Itís a fresh and bitter ale. Resin goes well into the finish. But thereís a floral component tagging along. Quite nice.

4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
The aroma is lighter than I expected I get light stone fruit notes and some slight hop resin but other than that it is a bit light on the aromatics. The appearance is a deep golden color with hints of red on the edges of teh glass. The taste is a bit more complex than the aroma. On the tip of the tongue the hop bitterness slides over lightly with the carbonation which is a bit heavy before revealing soft fruity flavors. The finish is full of bitterness and is very refreshing to me to find a beer that has the balance of the bitterness in the finish as opposed to all of the beers that are so hop forward.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Poured from a draft into a goblet (I think) at KnB Wine Cellars. Maybe ĺ inches of head once I got it. Nice circular lacing on the top and a decent amount of film on the sides.
Smelled light citrus hops up front. Peach or tangerine seemed to lead the way, but no smell was overpowering.
Tastes were a bit stronger than the nose. Tasted citrus hops with grapefruit and tangerine the most potent.
Light-to-medium body. Average carbonation. Bitter finish.
Not a bad beer, but this beer didnít have a chance after I uhst tried the New Belgium Fresh Hop IPA.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
Maltier than I was expecting, but an unexpected hop punch at the finish, to be sure. No veggie in my bottle. This seemed pretty straightforward at first, but hereís more going on the more I taste. Guess Iíll have to have another one.

2.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Brand new bottle (sadly I do not see a date code on it). Excited. Pours with a crystal clear golden hued body with a large and lasting, egg shell hued white head. Spectacular lace. Aromas are very malt forward, bready, biscuity, grainy, a small hint of DMS. Mild esters and then the hops: tropical fruit, citrus, pine, slight cohumulone spicy bite. Flavors show quite a bit more DMS than the nose, cooked corn, wet dog, a lot of off malt flavors. Suntan lotion. Medium to aggressive bitterness, mild citrus. Really hard to get passed the DMS. Medium to lively bubbles, dry. Score is on the generous side of things. Hopefully they can clean this up in future batches. I look forward to re-rating it.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
22 ounce bottle from The Davis Beer Shoppe. The aroma on this is pretty musty and earthy. Lightly sweet. I almost get some boiled vegetables in the nose of this..like boiled potatoes. I canít put my finger on it, but whatever it is, it is not overly pleasant or quaffable. Transparent dark golden body with a smallish, quickly dissipating white head. Starts with more boiled stew and vegetable flavors. Quite herbal and earthy in the middle. Finishes with random hop bitterness. This beer is just a mess of hops and a total hodegpodge. Not enjoyable at all.
