Probably my favorite Mikkeller yet-- although it is impressively bitter through the finish, I was surprised this one actually isn’t as brutal on the taste buds as some of their darker offerings. Not a complex hop profile, just a nice citrus pine, but an exceptional balance with the carmely malt notes is what made it great for me. Also love where this is in the abv department-- would have been tempting to push this into "Double" terrirtory, but I like it as a strong regular IPA. Good stuff.

500ml bottle in a tulip. Pours deep amber with a lacy, cream-colored head. Aroma of citrusy and piney hops plus a good amount of caramel malts. Flavor the same, like a good IPA should be. Average texture. A pretty good IPA.

Pours pretty. Aromas intriguing with citrus, pine and hints of grass? Taste doesn’t quite follow through though. The malt sweetness and the hops don’t quite blend. I tasted sweet in the begining, but completely bitter on the finish. Over priced, still waiting to see what the big fuss is about these guys.

bottle from Capone’s. Pours a medium to light brwn with slight orange hew and nice head that lingers.nose is mild with cumquat and meyer lemons. first sip is nice sweet malty flavrs almost like a double ipa withut the bozze. hops take over and are balanced nicely. finish is grapefruit and lemn rind. good beer.

Bomber. Pours chill hazy copper with 2-finger frothy off-white head. Nose is big tropical fruit, with pineapple, tamgerine, black pepper, and caramel malt. Tastes astringent, with a high IBU level, and flavors of tangerine, pineapple, pepper, and a hefty caramel malt bill. The palate is not real dense, and the hops dominate. This one is very good.

(22oz bottle, courtesy of Mora2000) Pours a clear golden body with a medium off-white head. Aroma of orange, bread, and caramel. Flavor of grass, herbs, caramel, citrus, and florals with a dry, bitter finish.

Hazy orange with good, creamy, white head / Bright nose of pine, cream, and cooked fruit / Medium body, some sweetness, creamy, with excellent balance and lightly biting hops and bitter finish / Muted, somewhat oddly herbaceous flavors of orange, grapefruit, spun sugar, soap, and cut pine / A might peculiar, but I enjoyed it.

It poured a golden/amber color with a white head. The aroma was of dark fruit, some earth, bread, spices, some sweetness and earthiness. The taste was dry, spicy, citrus, bitter lemons and oranges. A very tasty IPA.

Bottle shared amongst friends. This was the 1st beer of my Mikkeller Blowout pt.3 and it was definitely a good one. Sweet honey malt aroma mixed with earthy hops. Very well balanced flavor and super easy to drink.

Thanks to my brother for sending me this bottle. The beer pours a yellow color with a white head. The aroma is heavy on the resin and pine notes, with a hint of biscuit malt thrown in. The flavor is very similar, with the resinous notes coming through. There is also a decent amount of orange citrus, as well as some biscuit malt that keeps the bitterness low. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.
