Pours a hazy medium golden color with a minimal white head. Aroma of citrus, hops and hay. Light citrus flavor with hints of sweetness followed by a nice hoppy bight at the end. Slightly bitter finish. Feels crisp and clean in the mouth. Solid IPA but pretty expensive.

Great apricot and grapefruit floral aroma. Pours hazy orange from the bottle. Taste is good citrus hoppy and very bitter. Almost too bitter but I like. Mikkeller IPA' are becoming my favorites ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Great perfectly hued copper coloured body with a touch of an orange glow and a great three centimetre tall tan head - brilliant for the style. Aroma of fresh grapefruit, piney and citrus hops with a good malt backbone, some light caramel and a touch of nuts. Medium-bodied; Sweet flavour at first with a strong resiny flavour soon afterward and a good kick of grapefruit and pine, touched with some deep malts and a little earthiness at the end. Aftertaste is nice and strong with the alcohol coming through first, then some deep resin, a lot of hop bitterness and a hint of sweetness. Overall, a good IPA, perhaps a bit strong on alcohol and malt at the end, but the underpinnings are great, nice resiny and citrus hop bitterness and a good complex flavour that doesn’t disappoint. I would recommend it to all except for the abhorrent price on the bottle - paying for it, just because of the Mik name...sad. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Liqour Outlet in Boonton, New Jersey on 22-April-2012 for US$9.95 sampled at home in Washington on 20-May-2012.

Draft at Capones on my Thursday lunch trip with Caruso. Poured a slight hazy gold body with an average foamy white head that left some nice lace. Aroma has some big time grapefruit notes, citrus rind and light toast. Big full mouthfeel, strong carbonation, hint of alcohol warming and a lingering bitterness. The flavor is the same as the aroma although a touch drier than I was expecting. This is a damn good beer.

Draught at Capone’s: Aroma of malt, hops, citrus, slight caramel, and slight resin. Poured amber/gold in color with a small to medium-sized creamy, dense, off-white head that diminished but lasted throughout as a film on top of the beer. Clear. Sparkling. Flavor is lightly sweet and medium bitter. Tastes of malt, hops, pine, light hop oil, and resin. Medium body. Oily, then dry texture. Average carbonation. Medium bitter, lightly sweet, malt hop, pine, resin finish is dry. 7%ABV is completely hidden throughout.

On tap at matt’s. Pours a hazy orange color with small head with sheets of full lacing. Inner glass is totally covered. Aromas of honey, grass, orange juice. Taste is a orange hop character with a nice bready and earthy malt backbone. Some other notes of grapefruit, honey, and toast. Not too bitter. Pretty good ipa.

Draft. Hazy apple juice body, small off-white head (much lighter in color than Against the Grain version). Aroma is medium sweet, lemon, bread, orange. Taste is medium sweet, lemon/grapefruit, some bread. Medium body, some resin. Tasted off, and not just due to the differences associated with the different versions.
