Bottle at Sourfest. Clear golden pour with a small soapy white head. Candy sugar, orange peels and tons of dry Brett funk on the nose. Dry, slightly astringent hop character, peppery, citrus rind, Brett with touches of sweetness. It’s alright.

Aroma: Grass, Earl Grey tea and lemon.

Appearance: Slightly hazy golden body with a thin white head. Average carbonation. Very light lacing marks.

Taste: Lime, bitter (almost sour) green apple and a hint of white pepper in the finish.

Palate: Thin to medium body with a watery, slightly oily texture. Prickly carbonation.

Overall: Quite light for a Belgian Ale. I was hoping for a surprise with this beer but at best it’s subtle, at worst it’s just dull. The worst Mikkeller beer I’ve tried.

Cold bottle. Clear yello sparkling with enduring white head. Spicey lemon smell. Taste is medicinal lemon, spice, some subtle fruit esters. Fresh and refreshing, but nothing too exciting.

Pours clear amber with a white fluffy head. Aroma gentle hops, weak dry brett, some corn/grains, bread malts and some rural notes here and there from the brett. Taste has some fresh hops up front. Rather thin body and a nice dryness from the brett. weak tart, orange peel, bread and some spices as well. Refreshing!

Bottle @ il pretesto. It pours golden and clear with a good, white, vanishing head on top. Good aroma with brett hints. Light body with floreal and brett taste. Good brett session beer!

Whole Foods, Bowery 33cl ($5): Pours a slightly hazy golden yellow with a white head. Aroma is musty, musky, yeasty, with a slight vinegarish tinge. Taste is sour, but also has something farmhouse funky on top of that. Dry. With a slight sour aftertaste continuing. Not bad.

Bottle. Yellow cloudy. Nose has a bit bready malts, continental hops, light horsy funk. Body is light, dry. Well hopped. Barnyard, funk and a palate cleansing finish. Quite light body-wise, but good nontheless.
