Bottle courtesy of Theis poured a clear gold with a lingering ring of off white foam. Aromas of horseblanket, barnyard and pure funk. Palate was light bodied and crisp. Flavors of horseblanket, funky barnyard and light fruittiness with a crisp funky finish. One of the funkiest and most enjoyable beer I’ve had in a while!

(EBF 2008) Pale golden, no head. Dishwater aroma,a bit sourish. Hoppy sourish flavor with some citrus. Citrus finish.

Bottle courtesy of papsoe. Pours gold with a sustained white head. Smells of fruit, funk, grass, citrus. Tastes dry and grassy with some nice bretty tartness on the finish.

(On tap) Pours an almost clear golden with a creamy, white head leaving laces. Very fresh aroma of citrus and distinct Brett. Light-bodied, dry as a bone and also lots of Brett in the flavour that also has a discreet fruitiness. The finish is dry, lightly tart and only discreetly bitter. An Orval for beginners - extremely quenching and quaffable. 120908

Bottle 33 cl. Normally Mikkeller is charactarized with compexity and strongness - also alcohol-wise... this one is not - the alcohols is low in Mikkeller-tems (4,5). Pours a hazy light yellow with a thin white head. This should be the kiddie-brother to Its alive.. and you can tell that allready by the nose. Its fruity almost perfumed with the bretonamyses up-front like Orval. The mouthfeel is waterish and lively. The taste is bitter and very yeastie with alot of hay and straws coming out of it - cheap russian perfume. The finish is light and fairly balanced. I prefer the bottle version. This one you serve for people who dont know what this game is about and who needs a soft-care introduction...

UPDATED: FEB 7, 2009 Draught @ EBF. Golden, small white head. Sweet bubblegum fruity aroma, kiwi and slight sourish note. Bubblegummy, sourish flavor, fruits and little hops. Light bodied, average carbonation. Strange artificial ale. (6 3 6 3 11)

Bottle at home, BBE 03/09/12. Hazy sparkling golden, coarse white head. Amazing sweet apple, peach fruity, perfumey and sourish aroma, little funk even, so fresh and so delicious. Good raw flavor, smooth and sweetish wheaty malts, some fresh apple, grapefruit and tartness. Finishes with moderate bitterness, acidic apples and faint white vinous notes. Quite light bodied, but by no means watery palate. Just amazing to have this available at my local grocery store, welcome y’all!

Clear golden with a white head. Definate notes of Brett in the aroma, along with hay and some blond style fruity esters. Flavor is refreshing, with tart citrus notes, barnyard and grassy hops, again with some fruity esters coming through in the end.

EBF2008. It’s hazy, warm golden and the aroma clearly signals brett and a lot of it with notes of sourness, barnyard, yeast and a little fruit. The flavour has the same notes, some in a – for me – too strong way.

Inviting golden colour with a decent white head. Nice yeasty aroma with floral hops. Light bodied with perfumey taste, a slightly sour finish and a bready, strange aftertaste that I at first found off-putting but learned to really like after a couple of mouthfulls. I would like to drink more of this, good everyday kind of beer.

Sampled at EBF08. Golden. Small, white head. Very sour aroma; rubber and diesel. Kinda weird and pretty thin with loads och lactic acid/brett.
