Tap. Clear dark amber color. Small off-white head, stays. Sour, fruity, leather, nettle in aroma. Deep dry burnt caramel, yeast, horse sweat, fruity flavor. So dry mouthfeel that you might want to drink it together with some other beer. Just to quench your thirst. Pilsner for example. In some weird way I like it.

Tap @ Mikkeller and Friends, Cph. Pours clear orange amber with a small, staying, creamy, beige head. Aroma has sweet grapes, oak, mild funk, green apple. Medium, prickly carbonation, fine dry and quite creamy mouthfeel. Flavour has lots of wine character, oak dryness, mild funk, chewy biscuity malts. Quite nice tarnish fruity finish. Donít think I can ascertain the mango, but the overall experience is nice.

Bottle. A bit hazy amber with a small white head. Aroma and taste of wood, brett, fruit and funk. Some notes of mango. Quite tasty.

On tap at Mikkeller & Friends. Amber pour, thin white head. Lots of funky yeast stuff going on in the aroma, plenty of citrus-lead dry white wine notes too, light tropical fruits as an afterthought. That heavy wild yeast character subsides a bit in the taste, with fruity white wine and grapefruit playing a bigger part. Lots of herbal character and quite juicy mango too. Such a dry finish - bone dry. Lingering semi-funky yeast notes and tropical fruits in the aftertaste. Medium mouthfeel. So dry. Really really interesting concoction, enjoyed it very much.

Very good off-white head over red-copper, lively carbonated beer. Wild yeast nose, rust, wood, rainwater. Bitterish-woody, quite dry, with a lightly sweeter finish, where thereís a saccharine-like taint. Only very restrained fruitiness. Seems very light-bodied at first, but eventually a more pappy MF hints at some restgravity. Lively carbonation; mild acidburn backthroat. Tastes more like a faro, than most Mikkeller tries. Iíd expecterd more influence from both barrels and mangoes, but no such evidence.

Brouwerij (915) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - MAY 27, 2013
Bottle thanks to Alemax. Pours a hazy burnt copper with coarse, light tan head. Decent retention for the style, some stringy lacing. Aroma is brett, funky, lactic, spicy and mildly herbal. Flavor is moderately tart, lactic, with an oaky, fruity, and mildly herbal finish. Not getting a whole lot of mango specifically, isnít as fruity as I had imagined. Flavor reminds me of TPS Report or Oh Face Provisional Saison. Lively carbonation, light body, crisp/bubbly mouthfeel and dry finish. Funky, spicy, herbal, slightly juicy, a tasty sour ale.

Nice cloudy beer. Amber in color. Smells sour. Herbal notes as well as some strong yeast character. Smooth mouthfeel with a sharp herbal bite. The mango is not recognizable in the beer more of an underlying sweetness. Very clean finish.

Had this at Jan & Charlotteís, Ulfborg, Denmark in company of Jan, Charlotte, Craig, Stella, Morten & Loz 18.05.13 Big thanks to Jan & Charlotte! Clear gold with a white head. This is lightly fizzy in the mouth and there is also a softness. Sourness creeping in around the edges, but with a sweetness that takes the edge off. Tangy and tasty beer there is also a little warmth from somewhere. Good beer. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov14 3.7
