Draught at Mikkeller Bar, Copenhagen
Hazy amber color with compact head. Vinous aroma, grapes with light hazelnuts. Smooth mouthfeel; there is some acidity, fruitiness, wood, astringency; medium to strong bitterness.
Not a bad beer, but altogether itís not cohesive.

Mango, Chardonnay, mild funk on the nose. Flavor is the same plus some mild oak and light acidity. Not as exciting as I was hoping for but still solid.

12.7 oz bottle to snifter (shared with the Mrs.). Looks good; a semi-transparent fuller orange with off-white head that steadily dissipates into lacing. Smells solid; mango and soft funk. Tastes like it smells with a nice, lively mouthfeel. Good beer, and one of the better varietals.

On tap at Lí Express de Lyon (Paris) Tart wine aroma , quite acidic. Later the sweet mango. Not very sour...

Bottle. Deep hazy golden with a lively white head. Earthy, funky, and modestly sour, with sweet rounded white vinous notes. Absolutely no sign of the mango for me. Still quite a nice brew regardless.

Borresteijn (4647) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - MAY 16, 2014
Sample from 37.5cl bottle at De Bierkoning. Slightly hazy amber colour, off-white head. Aroma is quite muted, just light Bretty funk, hint of fruit, later on some vanilla custard and mango comes out. Flavour is medium-sweet, malty, caramel, light funky, vanilla, hint of fruit, light vinous, light-bitter finish. Light-bodied. Completely different from the White Wine Barrel version.

At Borefts Beer Festival 2013. Golden with a lasting white head. Aroma of funk and leather, with grapefruit and a touch of white wine. Dry, fruity and funky flavour with wood, pineapple and white wine.

375ml bottle: pours like a brand new penny. Fluffy white head that is shot lived. Subtle yet complex aroma with notes of apple, pear, grapes, and straw with hints of vanilla, mango and pineapple. Less funky than I was expecting. I was expecting something really tart and sour. The funkiness and sourness are subdued but very much in balance with the malty, fruit flavors presence. Very balanced and drinkable beer!! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Drinking in riedel Chardonnay glass. Pour medium amber with a small crisp white head. Aroma is very unique tart, yeast, malts and light wood notes. A nice flavored beer starts out crisp and tart but not sour with a heavy grain/ malty finsh. I wish I could have found the mango oh well.

pours clear copper, thick foamy white head, complex aroma of yeast, green olive, and yes, bandaid... taste is sour, citrus, wood, leather, and white wine, very interesting ... not a beer Iím used to but leaves me wanting more.
