750 ml bottle. The beer is a deep copper colored body with a frothy and lasting white to off-white head. Nice lacing. Flavor is nicely tart with significant rhubarb and spontaneous tasting yeasts. A wild ale. Rhubarb crumble. Puckering but definitely balanced. A medium body with a nice tartness and dry mouthfeel. Adequate carbonation adds a lively component and brightens the beer.

Bottle at Mikkeller&Friends - Thanks to Fredrik. Clear amber/brown - offwhite head. Nice bretty. Dry oxal rhubarb taste - notes in the aroma. Ripe rhubarb. Peppery. Red rhubarb. Lovely.

Bottled sample shared with oakbluff. Muddy amber in colour with strong carbonation. Aromas are of earthy berry, funk, dry malts, and white pepper. Loads of complexity in the mouth with more field berries, an oddly substantial malt presence, wet earth, minerals, and a distinct sourness. The mouthfeel gives a strange sense of being dry, tart, and full bodied all at the same time. All in all, a hard beer to qualify, but one that I had a lot of fun trying to decode.

A steady pour into my large Triple Karmeliet tulip produces a three finger thick, plus an additional two fingers above the rim of the glass, light tan colored head. The beer is a ruddy, lightish amber color that shows a lightly hazed, pale red / gold hue when held up to the light. The aroma smells tart and fruity, with a grassy, toasted straw like character. The fruit character has a wine like character to it, a bit like a funky white with perhaps a touch of complexity from a Rosé like character; notes of berries, perhaps some strawberry notes, a definite, distinctly rhubarb like character, with a backdrop of lightly phenolic, funky, musty, Brettanomyces aromatics.

Lightly tart up front, and it picks up a bit more tartness as it flows across the palate. There is a touch of nutty, dried grass character in the finish, as well as a bit of pale cracker like malt. The finish gets a bit phenolic and sharp, though only lightly so, mixed in with some higher alcohols, a bit of peppery, grass character, and some medicinal notes. The beer is fairly dry, this mutes the rhubarb character just a touch, but it still contributes a noticeable tartness, a rounded, red-berry like note, and a bit of not really grassy, but definitely rhubarb like character.

This is quite nice, it is well balanced, and the rhubarb character is still quite noticeable, but accentuates standard, funky beer notes quite well without getting in the way of the rest of the beer.

Pours reddish golden with an off white fluffy head. The aroma had funk, bugs, cream, light rhubarb, earthiness and dry malt. It has a medium body with a bit more heft than expected with lots of frothy carbonation filling the mouth. The taste begins with lots of bugs, pepper, spice, dry malt, minerals and a bit of tartness that resembles rhubarb. The finish is dry peppery and has a bit of a red wine characteristic. Really nice and enjoyable. Couldn’t tell the 8% except believing what you read. Nice job.

Thanks to drowland for the share. Nice sour. Hazy dark gold. Straight tart and vinegar nose. Tons of Brett. Taste,I get a bit of rhubarb tartness with your usual sour kick and funk. Slightly bready and plenty sweet. Sharp mouthfeel. Nice sour overall.

1/12/14. 750mL bottle from John’s Grocery. Hazy orange pour with a huge khaki head that sticks and laces well. Nice sour aroma, acidic, doses of vinegar, floral, herbal. Nice flavor, good tartness, mild herbal aspect. I don’t really remember what rhubarb tastes like, but I don’t think I’m getting much. Still good.

Bottle I took to Blippsmas! Pours a lightly hazed amber with a thin to medium sized white head. Soft musk and yeast on the nose, a hint of tart rhubarb. Tart, tangy rhubarb comes through, a bit bretty and yeasty. Medium-bodied, nice tanginess, not too sour. Tangy, tart into the finish.
