Bottle courtesy of Streets shared w Streets Andy Erica in 47B as we prepare for Hurricane Irene (by playing Risk). Awesome sour/tart aroma, topheavy mirky orange pour with huge head. Classic Belgian flavor with some floral notes and clean, tasty delivery. Light- to medium-bodied with a quick finish. I like.

75 cL bottle from Premier Gourmet in Buffalo, served in a tulip. Pours hazy caramel with a tall tan head. The head mostly remains and leaves lots of loose lace. The nose has big notes of sour fruit, Brettanomyces, grapes, spruce, straw and flowers. The flavour is somewhat dry throughout with plenty of sour fruit, toasty malts, and dry white wine, along with a touch of floral hops, oak and caramel. The finish is long and dry, with a slightly sour maltiness. On the palate, it is medium in body with a dry texture and lively carbonation. Overall, this is an excellent, interesting brew. From the aroma, I expected it to be much more sour, but it is dry with just a touch of sour fruit. Surprisingly effervescent and light on the palate, it makes for an excellent Summer ale. 2011-07-22

Bottled. A hazy dark amber beer with a huge lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of white wine, malt, and brettanomyces. The flavor is sweet with notes of brettanomyces, malt, caramel, wine, and yeast, leading to a dry finish.
