Danish: En vild belgisk ale brygget på: vand, malt (pale og cara), lys kandis, humle (hallertau og styrian golding), gær og brettanomyces. Lagret 7 måneder på hvidvinsfade.

English: It’s Alive!!! Indeed it is. This Belgian Ale has been aged on White Wine barrels to give it that touch of alcohol, while the Brettanomyces give the tartness. Complex but well balanced beer.

On tap. Pours a deep orange golden color with a big fluffy white head. Aroma is malty with defined notes of red wine. Nothing really complex nor sour. Taste is similar: malty, boozy, winey. Not really sour. It just has some funkyness typical of white wines. Short sweetish finish. Mouthfell is medium to full with good carbonation. Overall, not really a sour ale in the literal sense. But it definitely reminds of.wine, mostly white wine.

UPDATED: MAY 18, 2012 Bottled. Pours slightly hazy, amber with large off-white head. Nose of lemon, grapefruit and brett. Sour/ sweet flavor again with citrus and brett as well as hoppy note of white wine. Medium bodied, creamy texture and soft carbonation. Slightly sour finish. Nice, smooth and crisp.

Gedronken bij dutchdrebus samen met benzai en joes. Oranje niet helder. Ruikt zuur, zoet en fruitig. En smaakt ook zuur en fruitig.

Brown body, soapy bottle. Heavy sourness, white grapes and dusty, farm. Fermented fruit. Taste is more complex, developing nicely from a light sweet start to a drier finish. (At the De Molen tasting)

UPDATED: MAY 27, 2014 Bottles from Coppers and Rehills in Newcastle. A hazy amber coloured beer that pours with a large foamy head. It has tart red fruity and apple flavours, a malty backbone and a very dry sour cider-like finish. Hides its alcoholic strength well.

Bottle (375ml) from Vinmonopolet (Vika), Oslo. Huge, lively, offwhite head, great retention. Hazy apricot/amber colour. Complex, fruity aroma with brett, gooseberry, orange marmalade, white wine, vinegar. Medium body, soft carbonation. Sublimely balanced taste, sweet upfront, then gradually more bitter, with an acidic base throughout. Long fruity-bitter-vinegary aftertaste.

Taste: start is certainly brett, bit of black olives, malts, grains, barley, bit of bubblegum , bit of booze , dry white wine in the end that drys the mouth , aftertaste is a bit earthy and vanilla and some grassy that stays on the tongue , not bad but i wanted it too taste sour !

I had this on tap several weeks ago at The Davis Beer Shoppe. I believe it was an 8 ounce sample. Just found the rating. The aroma is a bit sweet at first with some mild citrus notes. That aroma dissipates quickly and then it becomes quite musty. Somewhat oxidized. Moderately hazy copper-orange body with a strong, off-white head present. Starts spicy with some mild peppery notes. Becomes quite herbal in the middle. Finishes with mild bitterness. Not too much else happening with this beer. Perhaps there are some Juniper berries here?
