3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Pours a hazy/murky golden with an off-white head. Aroma is tart with sweet fruit notes. The two notes feels like they sort of clash together, but it works well somehow. Brett as well. Flavour is sweetish and slightly tart (a la berries). Brett. Bitter finish. A bit too much carbonation. Overall well-balanced and nice. 10.03.11.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle, 375ml, at Patricks. It pours an unclear amber body and a finger-thick, dense off-white head. The aroma is very funky, with yeast and oak. Barnyard notes and a leathery hint. Vinous fruityness too. In the mouth it’s smooth, full-bodied, fizzy and slightly warming. The flavor is tart, lemon-peel like and vinous with some yeast. Long finish with a strong but pleasant alcohol burn. An unusual beer, but fine indeed. 110311

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle 37,5 cl. Courtesy of Sahlholdt. Pours a deep warm amber with a slight haze and a neat white and lacing head with good retention. Initial aroma is sweet and fruity - almost tropical - with a funky twist. Solid body, again lots of fruit, Bretty freshness, somewhat leathery. The white wine barrel leaves a slight tartness and a rather sophisticated edge. Pale ales on white wine barrels - is that the new black? It certainly is delicious! 210211
