Danish: En vild belgisk ale brygget pŚ: vand, malt (pale og cara), lys kandis, humle (hallertau og styrian golding), gśr og brettanomyces. Lagret 7 mŚneder pŚ hvidvinsfade.

English: Itís Alive!!! Indeed it is. This Belgian Ale has been aged on White Wine barrels to give it that touch of alcohol, while the Brettanomyces give the tartness. Complex but well balanced beer.

Very huge yellow head, fed by lively carbonated, hazed amber beer; shards of dirty lace. Pungent barnyard and mild toasted flavours; old citrus and orangepeel; typical cultivated Bretts. The wine comes only as a reminiscence of the Montegioco ales. Again Bretts with barnyard and again some toasted, non-sweet caramelly flavour. The caramel mounts warming up. Medium bodied, quite slick; despite some acidity, rather velvety texture. Typical "plambic", as made in Italy, the US, and de Proef. Nice, but it isnít a patch on the real thing.

Bottle at ACBF. Hazy gold beer. tiny white head. Light sourish nose. Softish palate. Mild to mid sourness tickles your tastebuds. Trace amounts of minerals and a little white wine, tangy. Really light and tasty beer and a great sour for someone who generally struggles with them! Original rating 3.4.

Bottle from Bier Koning. Hazy amber beer, big off white head. Pleasant effervescent sour and winey nose. Light airy palate. Smooth fresh airy malt. Light sourness with nicely blended white wine. Bitterish wood finish. Airy crisp and light - very very nice!

Sampled at ACBF 2011. Deep amber colour with thin white head. Yes Its Alive aroma with touch of sweetness. Then yes the drinkability of Its Alive with the sweet white wine. Some grape quality. So drinkable

WHAT.....THE.....HELLLLLL. EPICLY AMAZING! Deep amberishly red and hazy in appearance with a large foamy light tan cap that sticks around to help this appear tantalizing. The aroma is stunning. Sour lemon, tons of funk, mild stinky cheese, light vinegar, orange peel, some medicinal hops, more citrus.. awesome. Wonderful taste and easy going. Sourness and dullness at the same time. Lemon, orange, pineapple, funk, medium bitterness, maybe my brain is thinking about that white wine dealy here. This is just a great tasting beer, superb flavours and easy to put back, lemon sourness. Tart, bitter, lemon sourness.. good stuff. This bottle is too small.

375 ml green bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 9.0%. Cloudy amber to orange colour, huge off-white head. Lovely aroma of farmhouse / brettanomyces, also a fruity and spicy character with hints of GewŁrztraminer. The flavour has a pretty strong brettanomyces character, spicy and oaky notes, and a distinct hoppy bitterness in the finish. The alcohol is noticeable, but not dominant. Good stuff.

Bottle @ ACBF 2011. A clear red/brown colored beer, with a white head. The aroma of some sour dough with fruits. The taste of fruits like apricot with some vanilla. There is a nice bitter. The aftertaste is dry, sweet with some bitter and winery.

Bottle. Pours a hazy/murky golden with an off-white head. Aroma is tart with sweet fruit notes. The two notes feels like they sort of clash together, but it works well somehow. Brett as well. Flavour is sweetish and slightly tart (a la berries). Brett. Bitter finish. A bit too much carbonation. Overall well-balanced and nice. 10.03.11.
