3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle. Almost a rich dark whiskey hue with a thin white head. Woody, light funky hay, vinous, some darker fruits in the aroma. Flavor is very similar, vinous, slight fruit sweetness, woody funk, and light gape finish. Medium slick body.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
(bottle - 375 ml) Coppery/orange pour with a thin white head. Dry bitter and tart Brett aroma with some dry wine notes under it. Sour and smoother than the Grand Marnier edition with the barrel more prevalent and taking away some of the acidic notes.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle. Kind of clear hazelnut brown with a large diminishing off white good lacing foamy head. Aroma has barnyard, berries, sweet grapes, wood, light glue or shoe polish like notes. Medium body, light dry, light bitter, medium sweet. It took a while, but I’m really starting to appreciate these light barrel aged beers. Soft and slow drinking with lots of complexity.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: JAN 17, 2015 Pours a light copper with a medium offwhite head that leaves great lacing, Aroma is fruity and full of brett funky leather and barnyard. Taste is fruity and dry with some nice and distinct winey flavors. Body is medium, mouthfeel really nice and juicy. Old faithful It’s Alive never disappoints!
Update: A second bottle seemed a little less transcending, with a final score of 3.8. Between my original score of 4 and this one I’m just doing an average. A really good wild ale, still.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
A bretty beer with white wine characteristics. Somewhat funky, leaving it for a few months gave it a drinkable edge.

Bottle shared up at Proof (tried next to USAlive and Lychee and I think AK). Sharp funk and bandaid aroma. Even sour and herbal bitter. Wheat. Nice grapey wine vibe. - 7.8

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle at home. It pours clear amber with a medium off-white head. The nose is wood, funk, tart white wine, gooseberry, mustiness, faint blue cheese and light floral notes. The taste is funk, barnyard, earth, wood, tart, floral, tangy white grapes, apricot/peachy yoghurt, light spice and a bit of astringency with a dry, lightly bitter finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Tasty and well-integrated. Very nice.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle: pours a reddish, coppery brown color with a nice tan head. Aromas are floral, fruity apples. Taste is nice, sour, but not over the top, which is nice for a sour beginner like myself. Taste is mild funk, but still the sweetness is there. Complex, but approachable if I can say that without sounding ridiculous.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle to teku. Amber pour with a thick bone white head that laces quite a bit. Nose is very tart. Sweet hay and grapes. Taste hits bitter hay up front that is quickly taken over by sweet belgian yeast and white wine grape sweetness. The bitter hay comes back in the finish.
