4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle 37,5 cl. Courtesy of Sahlholdt. Pours a deep warm amber with a slight haze and a neat white and lacing head with good retention. Initial aroma is sweet and fruity - almost tropical - with a funky twist. Solid body, again lots of fruit, Bretty freshness, somewhat leathery. The white wine barrel leaves a slight tartness and a rather sophisticated edge. Pale ales on white wine barrels - is that the new black? It certainly is delicious! 210211

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle, 9.0%. Gusher. Citric aroma, vinous and sourish, a bit of old wet rag. Cloudy dark amber colour. Big semi-stable tan head. The flavour starts off rather sweet, then comes a good citric note, more wet rag. Good funky and citric Brett flavour. High carbonation. Does not taste 9%, and I would have preferred it to be weaker with the same flavour.
