Commercial Description:
Brewed by Mikkeller at Ørbæk Bryggeri, Ørbæk, Denmark.
Mikkellers tribute to the foul-mouthed stewardess Jackie Brown from Quentin Tarantino’s movie of the same name. It’s a roasty, chocolaty brown ale with hints of coffee and licorice. Being a Mikkeller brew the malts are inevitably complimented by a great amount of hop bitterness, aroma and flavour.
Ingredients : Water, malt (pale, munich, cara-pils, cara-crystal, brown and chocolate), flaked oats, hops (nugget, simcoe and centennial) and ale yeast.

Bottle. Large tan head with a good amount of lacing, hazy, and a brown hue. The aroma was malt, toasty, chocolate, citrus hops, and grapefruit. Ditto for the flavor. Medium bodied. Quaffable, easy to drink, lingering hoppy aftertaste, worthy of a try, and I would enjoy drinking this beer again if it comes my way again. Nicely done!

From bottle : Pours a hazy, very brown color, with a big ole’ 2 and a half fingers of off white head. Lots of nuts in the aroma and malt, with some hops hidding in the background. The taste i must say is a bit of a let down. It is very watery, and im struggling to find any real flavor. There are traces of nuts and malt, but overall pretty watered down. Also leaves a stale aftertaste in your mouth, that im not enjoying. Thin watery bottle and a sticky feel going down. Not that great.

Poured from a 500ml bottle and served in an English pint glass. This beer poured a medium-dark brown with a thick head of creamy tan foam that would not fade. Excellent lacing. The aroma of the beer was made up of coffee, chocolate, and nuts, along with a touch of citrus in the background. The flavor consisted of bitter roasted notes, cold coffee, pine, and grapefruit/citrus bitterness. The mouthfeel was medium-bodied with light carbonation. A good beer, but just a bit too bitter for my taste in a brown ale.

500 mL bottle. Pours a nice dark brown with a good-sized light tan head that quickly recedes. Aroma is a sweet, nutty, maltiness with a hint of resiny hops. The front end of the taste is a surprising amount of hops bitterness that rounds out into a nice roasted finish. There’s a burnt flavor on the end that lingers just a little bit too long for my taste, but all in all quite tasty.

Bottle. This one took me by surprise. A hoppy brown ale. Aromas of piney hops & some maltiness. Pours a very nice caramel colored brown with amber hues. Very long lasting head that never dissapated. Hops dominate the malts here. More a IPA IMO than a brown. Nice hop flavor throughout with malty backbone to add balance. Light fruitiness after initial hop bitterness. Another great beer from mikkeller

Bottle from Keg Liqour. Poured a dark brown color with a large frothy light brown head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Heavy toasted sweet malt and chocolate espresso aroma. Medium body. Solid bittersweet toasted flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. Good complex brew.

50cl bottle from Wine Country SHV LA. Deep chestnut color with a frothy off white head. Nice earthy toasted malt aroma with some fresh hops and cocoa. Medium body and very smooth. Nice mocha, roasted nutty flavors here with a lingering bitter coffee taste to finish. Pretty good brown ale.

Dark brown pour and an absolutely gorgeous creamy white head that lasts. Nutty and malty aroma with some chocolate and piney hops. Mouthfeel is somewhat creamy and high carbonation. This one has a lot of hop bitterness up front, pine and grapefruit. Middle reveals a more roasted/coffee character. Bitter finish, lingering coffee, some residual pine/citrus hop flavors. A very good brown.
