COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed by Mikkeller at Ørbæk Bryggeri, Ørbæk, Denmark.
Mikkellers tribute to the foul-mouthed stewardess Jackie Brown from Quentin Tarantino’s movie of the same name. It’s a roasty, chocolaty brown ale with hints of coffee and licorice. Being a Mikkeller brew the malts are inevitably complimented by a great amount of hop bitterness, aroma and flavour.
Ingredients : Water, malt (pale, munich, cara-pils, cara-crystal, brown and chocolate), flaked oats, hops (nugget, simcoe and centennial) and ale yeast.

Darkbrown, with a hint of red. Yellow brown foam. Malt, caramell and a hint of coffee in the aroma. Caramel, chocolate, coffee and malt tones in the taste with a bitter aftertaste with a taste of coffee. The aftertaste grows somewhat. Body medium carbon high.

very dark brown colour, huge, long lasting dense brownish head; aroma of chocolate, roasted malt, and citrussy notes come from the used hops; taste of coffe, heavy roasted malt, and citrussy hops again - very good brown ale

really rich mocha notes. Great almost pure black poor with white head on top. Taste is a bit dry shallow not as deep and smooth as I was expecting.    Wasn’t expecting the big espresso flavours quiet intense with this beer.

Pours a lovely, clear, dark copper coloured body with a huge, creamy, dense and rocky light brown head that is fully lasting and leaves big patches of foam on the glass. The aroma is strong and has the expected notes of roasted malts with faint traces of coffee in the back, but also a very obvious hoppy side with lots of tropical fruity notes. There is some sweetness in the taste, but this is definitely dry stuff. The finish is long and moderate bitter. Also the flavours have these very refreshing hoppy notes in addition to the gently roasted malts. I also get yeast that could have been better hidden. Smooth mouthfeel with a moderate carbonation. This is how a brown ale should be!

33cl bottle from Appellation Wines. Pours dark brown with a red hint. The lacing is attractive. The nose has pine aroma with just a hint of dark chocolate. The taste has caramel heading into liquorice and there’s a dry malty finish. The palate is rich in texture with a biscuity malty texture and a dry finish. Overall, the aroma is enticing, the taste is interesting but different.

Looks: Sexy, sexy, with brown cappucino foam on top. Smells hops, charamel. Taste is a mix of charamel, chocolate, some coffee. light bitter, oily hop finish. Mouthfeel is smooth with some nice carbonation. I can taste some hops oil. Creamy. Want it to be more full bodied. Overall: A nice brown ale.

Very dark for a brown ale, nice roasty character, taste of sirup and dark honey, finishes a bit hoppy with tastes of citrus fruit, but not too much. Nice light mouthfeel, quite refreshing and drinkable for such a dark beer.
