COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed by Mikkeller at Ørbæk Bryggeri, Ørbæk, Denmark.
Mikkellers tribute to the foul-mouthed stewardess Jackie Brown from Quentin Tarantino’s movie of the same name. It’s a roasty, chocolaty brown ale with hints of coffee and licorice. Being a Mikkeller brew the malts are inevitably complimented by a great amount of hop bitterness, aroma and flavour.
Ingredients : Water, malt (pale, munich, cara-pils, cara-crystal, brown and chocolate), flaked oats, hops (nugget, simcoe and centennial) and ale yeast.

Pours a dark mahogony from the bottle with a cascading head of tan foam. Plenty of hops on the nose with faint licorice. The taste is of burnt espresso beans, dark cocoa, and copper. Silky mouthfeel that ends like you’ve been sucking on a penny. Very distinct brew that’s worth revisiting.

Bottle. Sensoric. Deep brown with light brown, densed, medium head. Very good lacing and head retention. Nose is malty, coffee and a bit milk chocolate, ashy, grainy. Taste is highely bitter, acidic. Medium body, creamy texture, average carbonation, finish is long bitter and creamy. In overall nice, highly hoppy brown ale.

33cl bottle. Almost clear brown colour with a fine tan head. Caramel, chocolate, roasted and licorice in the aroma. Average to soft carbonation and medium body. Taste is balanced with some chocolate and light pine notes and a dry bitter finish. Overall, a very nice beer.

The first version of this beer was amazing but the recent one i had was nothing like it. It was lacking a lot of maltiness to back up the huge amount of hops. It seemd to have changed from fat and hoppy to some kind of astringent dark IPA, without that much finesse in the hop character.

Brown colour with a dark beige head. Some fruity notes with toast aromas. Bit chocolate sweet with a light bitterness. Easy drinking beer.

Une très belle brune maltée et épicée tout en gardant de la fraîcheur de la longueur et de l’amertume.

330cc bottle. Pours almost clear mahogany with thick beige head. Some of the roastyness pulls through but it feels like american piney IPA. So you get lovely piney and a bit floral hoppiness with a toasty malt and caramel backgrounds. Finishes on the bitter side and dry. Highly drinkable.

Opaque brown with a huge light brown head. Light aroma, some dark caramel, a little roasted side, maybe dark ripe fruit. Creamy, medium body with a lively carbonation.
