COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed by Mikkeller at Ørbæk Bryggeri, Ørbæk, Denmark.
Mikkellers tribute to the foul-mouthed stewardess Jackie Brown from Quentin Tarantino’s movie of the same name. It’s a roasty, chocolaty brown ale with hints of coffee and licorice. Being a Mikkeller brew the malts are inevitably complimented by a great amount of hop bitterness, aroma and flavour.
Ingredients : Water, malt (pale, munich, cara-pils, cara-crystal, brown and chocolate), flaked oats, hops (nugget, simcoe and centennial) and ale yeast.

Bottle. Dark brown, average and mostly diminishing head. Moderate, malty and lightly sweetish aroma, coffee and some chocolate, herbal – piney hoppyness, some roastiness. Body is medium, malty and lightly sweetish flavor, coffee and some chocolate, some herbal – piney hoppyness and roastiness. Finish is average, malty and dryish, coffee and piney hoppyness. Really nice dryish brown ale with piney hoppyness and not too much coffee.

Dark murky brown colour. Nose is fruity and suprisingly hoppy. Taste is bitter. Palate namely fruits, fresh hops, coffee and roasted malts. Bitter finish. B@H

33cl at home. Beau-ti-ful dark IPA - or brown ale? - from Mikkeller. Lovely light beige, firm head onto a ruby red, dark brown body. The aromas are full of hoppy flavours - nothing more, nothing less. The brew’s taste has clear features of coffee, dark chocolate and hint at a light stout with lovely bitterness. The lemon zeste, citrus mouth is so, so good. Lovely!

Pours the deepest brown with a big tan lacing head. Malty, caramel, chocolatey... with a big hop profile and lasting bitterness. Lovely beer, and a lot better than I was expecting.

Bottle. Clear dark mahogany colour with a big beige frothy head. Aroma has notes of hops, citrus and malt. Very good, and clearly dryhopped. Medium sweet taste with heavy bitterness. Notes of caramel and roasted malt. Medium body with lively carbonation and a long and bitter finish. Very tasty brown ale.

Bottle in the Marketplace Ale House, Doncaster. Pours chestnut with a big rocky cream head. Seems massively lively with bubble rushing to the surface in waves. The flavour is chewy toffee with a slightly sour fruity edge - cherry perhaps. Hints of malt vinegar and red wine. Light spice also. Tasty.

Astonishing balance between all flavors, roasted, chocolate and caramel, drank lukewarm and maybe it’s better this way. They say not all mikkeller beers are mind blowing but maybe this is one of these.
