33cl bottle@home in straight glass@approx 5 degrees C (too cold) Present from Laura, Jack and James :-) Pours amber brown with large beige head with good retention and some lacing. Hoppy citrus aromas dominate but a malty sweetness can also be detected. Taste not as sweet as expected: Hoppy, piney, and grapefruit bitter but with sweet fruits like mango and peach a malty base to balance quite well, though it is on the hoppy side for a red ale. Good mouthfeel and soft carbonation. Nice winter beer if you are into hops:-)

Backlog. On tap at Green Lion Inn. I always love myself a red-ale, especially when it’s made by mikkel and contains nelson.

Bottle. A clear, dark golden beer topped by a dense, light beige head of fingerthick size. Citrus, peach, pine cones and grapefruit on the nose, with some maltyness in the back. The flavor has a malty backdrop, with peaches dominating. Pleasant and appropriate bitterness all the way. Medium to full body, smooth on the palate. A tasteful and quaffable beer, but maybe a bit on the hoppy side considering the style and commercial deScription. 110826
