Bottle from Khiosk. Hazy amber, creamy head. Lovely piney hops and a robust malt base. The hops are prominent - Tomahawk, Neslon Sauvin and Simcoa. I’d love to have a case of this for sumemr dinking. Sensible ABU.

(Draught) Pours hazy orange red with pale nougat/sand colored head. The aroma holds strawberry jam up front alongside more subtle tones of sweet white wine, pine and oranges. Toasted, cookie-like maltiness. Hints of tropical fruits, roses and gooseberries. The flavor is light sweet, light bitter and tiny acidic. Dry malt and mild citrusy/fruity hops. Light roast in the background. The mouthfeel is clean with perfect carbonation. Some cookies and flowers on the finish. Light to medium bodied.

Flaske: Rødorange øl med et stort fint skumhoved. Dejlig duft af humle, mango og citrus. Smagen er også lige i skabet hvor maltsødmen fint bakker den megen humle op. En lidt tynd mundfylde er det eneste meget lille minus.

Draught at Bishop’s Arms Folkungagatan,Stockholm. (as Vesterbro Rød) Hazy amber, brief head. Hugely attracrive gooseberry/lychee aroma. Dryish with light body and clean mouthfeel. Cracker-like crystal malt backs the beautiful hops. Medium bitterness. Superb hops, though a bit clean.

Backlog. On tap at Green Lion Inn. I always love myself a red-ale, especially when it’s made by mikkel and contains nelson.

UPDATED: MAR 8, 2011 Actually this beer reminds me of "spring"! Fresh grass maybe a little too sweet elderberry-blackberry aroma of dough roses. Its a hoppy beer with a non malty taste. The finish is bitter walnuts though mild. A light nice sunshine beer :)

(33cl bottle thanks to bu11zeye) cloudy orange with a ring of creamy tan head. Nose of orange, gingerbread, cracker, rhubarb, and dirty citrus peel. Taste of rye, citrus zest, orange, a bit of grapefruit, creamy finish, nice. A little thin though.

Deep amber orange color with a billowy off-white head. The nose is moderately sweet - orange peel, some watermelon and cherries. The taste is sweet with some bready malts, woody flavors.. Long, slightly hot finish. The body’s medium and a bit starchy. Overall, good work from Mikkeller.
