Origina cerveza que conbina una buena Ipa con un toque a café. Interesante.

Pours out muddy light brown with plenty of thick off white head. Smell starts with delicate hop flowers followed by all dark roast coffee and hints of pepper. Taste is remnant of cold brewed espresso.

Best before date is 18/12/14. Colour is dark amber. Aroma has lot of stale coffee in it. Some artificial coffee notes in it as well. Flavour is bitterish, acidy and has elements of cold coffee. Palate is off, high carbonation. This beer has complitely missed the good elements of coffee and managed to capture all the worst elements in it. It’s neither IPA nor coffee flavored drink.

Pour is a hazy and musty burnt orange. A weird but appealing aroma where the coffee and hops mix. Taste is hoppy, malty and the after taste had a coffee flavor that really lingers. Interesting and good.

Pours a dark mahogany maple color with a loose java head. Nose is coffee and hops. Taste is hoppy with a coffee flavor and pine and resin notes. Not your typical IPA. Finish is bitter, with a moderate coffee resinous lingering. Quaff Score 7 / 10

Pours a dark golden orange with a beige head and aroma of hops and light coffee. Taste is slight bitter with hops, grapefruit, light coffee, malt, and caramel with a dry. bitter finish. Interesting and nice IPA

On tap at Ei8ht Ball. Pours a hazy orange with a thin white head. Aroma of sweet fruits, pale malts, and coffee grounds. Flavor of sweet malt, coffee grounds, roasted malt, sweet fruits. As a previous rater noted, this is pretty malty for an IPA and does taste slightly old. I think it might be better if more of the IPA hops came out. Mostly it is just sweet malt and coffee grounds which just don’t quite mesh so well. Interesting beer, I’m not sure if a fresh sample would taste better, but as it is it fell a little short. 6/4/7/4/13 (3.4/5)

On tap at Ei8ht Ball. No way to tell really what version of coffee this keg uses, so I guess I’ll just rate the entry that’s not retired and has more rates. Somewhat hazy amber color. Little ring of off-white head. A bit or two of lace. Medium to bigger body. Smooth, soft, lighter carbonation. More dry finish. Good, full mouthfeel. Caramel malt, some nice toasty malt aroma. A bit maltier for an IPA (likely that this is not an ultra-fresh keg, naturally) but it works very well with the coffee in this instance. Awesome big complex coffee aroma, kind of earthy. Not too bitter, strong, overly roasted or harsh, just very pleasant overall; works well with the light malty sweetness. Impressive stuff. I wasn’t expecting it to work as well as it does. The bigger malt factor does the coffee a favor, here. I sure am a coffee fan, aren’t I?
