3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 finol (1720) - Stockholm, - JAN 12, 2011Bottle shared with an aspiering coffe geek at Queens Head, Stockholm.
Pours with a big firm head.
I recognise the base of this beer from the single hop series, the coffe adds complexity with berries and milk chocolate. I would have prefered it to be less hoppy to give the coffe more space but my friend thought it would have been better to use a more citrusy and elder tasting hop variety...

Wow. This tastes like somebody threw old coffee grounds in my IPA. I’m usually a fan of Mikkeller beers, but this one has proved quite the exception. Highly dissapointed, I will stick to coffee in my stouts and porters from now on.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20 jookos (833) - Helsinki, FINLAND - MAY 26, 2013
Bottle. Ligth orange, lots of sediment in bottle. As cold, the aroma was horrendious, mostly vegetable chilies. As it warms up, it turn into a very strong coffee-bean- aroma. Some citrus. Body is light/med. IPA bitterness, dry. Coffee beans in the finish. Interesting. For one bottle quite ok, but that’s it.
4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Guyute_Pig (95) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - MAY 22, 2013
Bottle. Pours a cloudy, deep orange with a 1 finger head that quickly dissipates. Not much on nose, a little caramel and coffee. Taste is pine forward with the right amount of city roasted coffee, that’s right my palate can discern the roast profile bro. Awesome lingering bitter finish. When I first heard of coffee ipa, I was like no way. It truly works very well together, really fucks up your palate in a good way. Enjoyable brew I would happily buy again.
