750mL bottle from Rozi’s nose is mostly hoppy with some faded hop funk coming through, taste is upfront hops followed by a lingering coffee taste, doesnt seem to flow well to me, brings more of a disjoint than i would hope.. still interesting though.

I like what Mikkeller tried to do here. Mix the worlds of Coffee and IPA but honestly this didn’t work to well. In the end it ended up being a kind of mediocre IPA. Citrus and caramel malt/ When this beer is cold you can smell a bit of the coffee and taste even less of it. But as the beer cools down the coffee kind of disappears and you’re left with just an OK IPA. One that I wouldn’t buy again but I’m glad I tried.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of Pinball. Pours a hazy amber with a dense and lacing beige head. Citrusy hop aroma with a whiff of coffee. Medium body, sweet fruits and quite some coffee. Very bitter finish from both hops and coffee. 230112

Tap @ Mikkeller Bar. This one pours a cloudy amber-orange body with a nice heavy lacing and light bubbly-creamy off-white head. Fruity and really fresh on the aroma, tones of tropic peach and mango mixed with thin hints of green coffee beans. The carbonation level is average and it has a nice smooth and mild-oily mouthfeel. Weird combo this; it’s kinda dry and hoppy - but also tones of herbal-green-coffee beans. More fruity in the dry finish with a mild grassy bitterness and hints of chocolate paper. As mentioned a strange combo, but I like it! 08.01.2012

33cl bottle. Pours an intense copper color with a medium off-white head. Quite good retention. Aroma is hop forward, on the pine and resin side. Wood, some alcohol and dried fruits. Molasses mayne too. Taste is again hoppy but not as pronounced as your typical IPA. Hops, resin and pine, lots of wood, maybe smoke, dark fruits and cocoa. Hints of coffe in the end. The coffee bitterness blends perfectly with the hops one. Medium body, lively carbonated. Nice one, this remembered me the BA 1000 IBU but way softer and less boozy, as if the BA 1000 IBU was the imperial version of the Koppi IPA.

From bottle. Pours orangey with white head. Nice fruity hop aroma, some citrus. Taste is like a west coast ipa, citrus and fruity but with a little smooth coffee on the finish. Nicely bittered. Good
