Really nice hoppy smell. The color is light gold with tiny head. The taste is quote hoppy too with a bit of sweaty feeling. Very good anyway and completely surprising considering the low alcohol! Really a good one!

Tropical aroma with citrus hints. Big bitter grassy hops that lands on your tongue pretty hard. The aftertaste disappers a bit too quick, but it’s nice and refreshing.

Bottle - 330ml. Hazy golden body with a thick, lasting, white foamy head. Fresh hoppy aroma with mango and coriander hints. Its good hoppy taste carries melon and grapefruit notes. Ends with a good bitter/herbal finish. Enjoyable.

Where and how: bottle 330 ml
Aroma citrus freshens, clean cut with high pitch, bold and aromatic.
Appearance :
Top: creamy white look, rings on glass.
Base: hazy amber.
Palate : soft textured, mid bodied with thinner sides.
Taste: green grassy feel, fruity notes with touch of alcohol. Some late heat. Still nice enough. Raw greens at base.

Boutip (4956) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - JAN 5, 2015
Bottle: Poured alight hazy beige color ale with a large off-white foamy head with good retention and some light lacing. Aroma of light citrus hops profile with non-descript malt is enjoyable. Taste is also dominated by citrus hops profile with non-descript malt with limited bitterness. Body is full enough for style with good carbonation. More pronounced hops would have been interesting but enjoyable nonetheless.

[Bottle (330ml)] Pours a cloudy gold with a large lasting fluffy white head. Aroma is quite citrusy first followed by tropical fruit and caramel malt. Moderately hoppy flavour, equally malty and quite fruity. Average bitter finish. Medium bodied. Not as hoppy as I like my Pale Ales to be, just good not great.

olio (6771) - Tampere, FINLAND - DEC 19, 2014
33 cl bottle.
Pours hazy orange color with a medium sized head. Very herbal and crisp fruity aroma, mandarin mostly, lots of fresh hops here too. Nice fruity sweet flavor with mandarin and orange, some faint gooseberries too, a bit watery but not too much. Extremely quaffable and refreshing. This, for one, would be a great example of a Session IPA style brew were I to recognize such a style. Very nice!

Pours hazy gold with a small frothy white top. Aroma is citrus and tropical fruit with great hop flavours. Taste is moderate to high bitterness, citrus and tropical hops with biscuit malt and nicely acidic. Opps glass is empty, should have bought more. Great beer for 4.6%

330 ml bottle from LCBO, served cool in a tulip glass. Rated as the Forfar/Sommer 2014 version.

App.: Murky golden with a full, off-white head. Aroma: Strong hop character – resinous, citrusy and spicy, with an odd sulphur note (H2S, boiled eggs), slightly meaty/brothy, hard to get past the sulphur, unfortunately. Palate: Medium body, lively carbonation. Flav.: Resin, citrus and tropical fruits, a bit of cat pee, much less sulphur (still detectable), with a light malt backbone; dry with fairly good bitterness, a little bright acidity and a light malt, citrus and faint cat pee finish.

A bit messy.

This beer is so cloudy you can see the storm clouds gathering in the bottle. Pour in the glass is a murky sunburst yellow with a mushy fat finger cap. Not sure if this is actually brewed with fruit but it is pineapple on the tongue. Hops are round & chewy but you can just tell they’ve aged a little on their travels. Good brew.
