Pours a dark beer with a big beige head. Smells spicy, coffee and lightly burnt. somewhere the almond is in there. Easier to find the chilli. Tastes great. Bitter but really balanced for a stout. Really nice and gentle palate. Really not aggressive or overdone but a lot of flavour. I love this.

Aroma: toasted malts, chocolate, hoppy bitters. Appearance: dark brown, small beige head. Taste: light to medium bitter. Palate: very dry bitters, toasted flavours. Overall: a mixed bag, palate too bitter, aroma unconvincing. Bottle at Euston Tap, London.

Bottle at home. Pour an opaque black with a big, beige head. Sweet and dry with aromas of roasted malts, cocoa and some vegetables. Tiny hints that reminds of toothpaste. Also some aroms of coffee. Medium to full bodied. Soft carbonation. Bitter finish with some burnt notes and a nice little chili kick in the end.

Completely opaque black with a thick khaki head with good retention and lacing. Aroma is super weird with chocolate some green vegetal notes that I believe are coming from the avocado leaves. Can pick out the chili and creamy vanilla aroma. Taste has bitter chocolate and cocoa with a big charred roasty flavor. Spicy then bitter in finish. Mouthfeel is semi creamy and a medium body with medium high carbonation. Flavors weren't all over the place like I expected but still didn't blend completely harmoniously. Roast was a little too burnt for my taste.

2013 bottle to a snifter. Pours jet black with a fizzy brown head. Aroma is milk chocolate with chili spices and lots of other indistinguishable stuff. Taste is bittersweet chocolate, chili pepper, vanilla, vegetal and an ashy bitterness. Thin-medium, dry, charred mouthfeel. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pitch black color with very dark brown head. Smells like a chocolate burrito, definitely get the avocado, refried beans, cocoa, chilli pepper, savory. Taste is a lot of roasted char, vegetal, some pepper spice, cigarette ash, a little chocolate sweetness, maybe some vanilla, tad of caramel malt. Mostly a lot of roasted charred hop bitter. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Black with creamy head. Aroma is grassy and spicy perhaps with some aniseed or clove? Has a thick, rich texture. Flavour has a light chilli warmth and a certain creamy taste perhaps coming from the beans. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Huge thanks to Galen for sharing this one!! Deep black pour with a rich brown head; stunning pour for a 6.6% beer in this category. Nose brings, remarkably, all of the adjuncts described; creamy avocado and nutty, sweet almond milk are inexplicably identifable, along with nice lightly warming chili spice, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cacao nib. Flavor brings a lot more actual beer to play, with bitter roasted malt and dark chocolate blending beautifully with additives. I like it.

07.04.2014, 0,33l bottle @ BBGTC tasting:
Big light brown creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly rich and sweet, dark malts, dark sugar, grass, spices, herbs, licorice, anise, cough syrup, coffee, hints of chili. Taste is slightly dry, dark malts, grass, spices, raw licorice, cough syrup, caramel, chili, coffee. Medium bitterness, watery and slightly dry mouthfeel. Fair enough, a little disappointing and missing the nice warming chili touch.

Wspaniale oleiste piwo czarne geste z ciemno brazowa spora i trwala piana. W aromacie przede wszystkim gotowana fasola, gozka czekolada i kawa.
