Bottle (365ml). Huge, offwhite fluffy head, great retention with thick bubbly lacing. Aroma of brett, sauternes (Château d’Yquem indeed - which I’ve had the pleasure of tasting), arctic raspberry, grape kernels. Medium body, lively carbonation. Taste is mildly tart on a solid sweet base, nice fruity acidity, mild bitterness - superb balance. Long fruity-tart aftertaste. A gem.

Hazy gold orange colour, white head. Fruity aroma, yeast, white wine, lots of oranges. Bit sweet flavour, quite bitter, orange peel. Finish hops, grapes, oranges and orange peel. Lingering alcoholic touch. Feels a bit like a saison, held up nicely!
(From 37.5cL bottle shared @ RBESG 2013. Bus beer on our way to Antwerp)

Bottle courtesy of Martinius at RBESG 2013. Poured a cloudy medium amber with a broken white head. The aroma is rich fruit and alcohol leading to an alcoholic rich citrus fruit flavour. Ideal with fish I would say. A superb beer.

Foffern (1388) - Bodø, NORWAY - JUN 5, 2013
Bottle at home. Looks slightly hazy and has a light orange colour with a medium off-white head. Vinous aroma that is reminiscent of white wine but also fruity Belgian yeast, hay, sweet malt and some spices, hops and alcohol. Grassy flavour with warming alcohol and some sweet malt, caramel, hops and yeast. Has a rich and slick mouth feel, and a medium bitterness. Decent aroma but the taste is one dimensional and rather weird. Cannot sence much of the barrel aging.

Bottle from kvadrat. Hazy orange coloured with a huge but fast disappearing white head. Fruity aroma of grapes and white whine with notes of spices and oak. Fruity flavour of grapes and white wine with notes of spices and oak. Fruity finish of grapes. Still 2 bottles for storing, may come some good out of that

Beer4000 (4982) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - APR 13, 2013
375 ml bottle. Slightly cloudy orange body with a thin off-white head. Aroma has some pale malt, citric fruit, grapes, sweet Sauternes wine and herbs but is dominated by oak. Flavor is sweetish malt, some fruity/grape sourness, herbs, matured grape, lots of oak and some bitterness. Medium body and a long aftertaste with all the mention flavors, specially oak. Interesting beer, but feels a bit messy and unbalanced with this dominant oak flavor in combination with rather light and smooth flavors.

Bottle. Very hazy amber with good white head. Aroma of grain, malt, some yeast and floral hops, and moar grain. Taste is about the same, very grainy. I didn’t think yeast choice quite fitted here

13,11,11,12,11,11 - 11,35 - 3/4

Golden yellow colour with a slight foamy head; sweet honey aromas; flavour is strong, malty and thick, with notes of sour and funky yeast.
