3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle: Thanks Papsø: Served in a Chouffe glass:
Medium to bigger sized ashy airy off white foamy head on top of a hazy yellow colored beer.
Aromas of white wine, barley malts, oatmeal, honey, meal, meat, hay, cream, some wood, grapes and a hint of liquor tones.
Flavours of honey, oatmeal, cream, white wine, grapes, wood, dusty fruit, some hops, grains, a strange bitterness and hints of alcohol, hay, chalk and liquor.
Aftertaste is mealy, warmth, grains, some honey, hint of bitters and peach and some warmth.
Low carbo, creamy mouthfeel, medium to lightly fuller body and a creamy texture.
To much grains and oatmeal... Nice white wine tones but all by all it’s quite unbalanced.

Nose is herbal, light caramel notes, grass, bitter orange, dark fruit.

Ok drinkable affair but nothing I’d rush back to!

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle from Vino Wines. Dirty fizzy orange with no head. Apples / grapes / lime, yeast. Light caramel then boozy tartish fruit then lingering bittersweet tail. A bit too much fizz for me which gets in the way of an otherwise great brew.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle shared at Pibar, Lausanne
Amber color, dull brown hue, with medium sized compact head. The aroma is nice, there is vanilla, white wine, some Belgian yeast; elegant. Highly carbonated, gently sweet malt flavor, mild yeast spices, pleasant boozy wine character; correct bitterness, light final astringency.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle (365ml). Huge, offwhite fluffy head, great retention with thick bubbly lacing. Aroma of brett, sauternes (Château d’Yquem indeed - which I’ve had the pleasure of tasting), arctic raspberry, grape kernels. Medium body, lively carbonation. Taste is mildly tart on a solid sweet base, nice fruity acidity, mild bitterness - superb balance. Long fruity-tart aftertaste. A gem.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Hazy gold orange colour, white head. Fruity aroma, yeast, white wine, lots of oranges. Bit sweet flavour, quite bitter, orange peel. Finish hops, grapes, oranges and orange peel. Lingering alcoholic touch. Feels a bit like a saison, held up nicely!

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle courtesy of Martinius at RBESG 2013. Poured a cloudy medium amber with a broken white head. The aroma is rich fruit and alcohol leading to an alcoholic rich citrus fruit flavour. Ideal with fish I would say. A superb beer.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle at home. Looks slightly hazy and has a light orange colour with a medium off-white head. Vinous aroma that is reminiscent of white wine but also fruity Belgian yeast, hay, sweet malt and some spices, hops and alcohol. Grassy flavour with warming alcohol and some sweet malt, caramel, hops and yeast. Has a rich and slick mouth feel, and a medium bitterness. Decent aroma but the taste is one dimensional and rather weird. Cannot sence much of the barrel aging.
