23 bux. Yes. The cork almost went through the roof. Incredible aroma: poured out an ugly murky goldish with a bright white tight cap with ropy lacing. Mellow rich vinous arOma, mango, lemon, apricot, hand cream, flowers, honey, vanilla oak, This is 1000% awesome. The aroma never ever lets up and continues to impress every time. The flavour is very similar with a much larger wine character. Faint sourness and a very weak bitterness if not nonexistent. Apricot, pepper, hand lotion. Fairly smooth with ok bubbs. Crushed it to get to next beer. I’ll buy another. Loved this for its uniqueness and complexity.

02-FEB-2012, bottle @home, from "Superbest". Copper, slightly hazy with lasting white head. Nose is a little tart with orange peel and herbs. Yeasty almost tripel’ish or even more like a saison. Taste is the same but even more herbal. Really creamy with high carbonation. Long fruity finish. Classy brew, but too expensive.

Mikkeller has done some interesting stuff with their barrel range beers and this is no exception. D’yquem aged Belgian strong ale is a tasty treat to say the least. On pouring the combination of the sauternes casks and the beer typacity created an interesting saison style aroma. This pours a fat and viscous golden hue with lees cloudiness, coupled with a big rich round head that trickles down the inside of the glass like a sultry drunken seductive temptress. Aromatics of the barrels and the sweet grapes with fresh cut grass and a hint of cloves. The body is light for the booze (8.7%) but hides it well leaving lingering notes of the boytritis affected grapes in the back of the throat. Overall an intersting style that could help me lose my pants in a Bolivian dumpster after a killer session. Tjener et andet bedes!!!!!!

375ml bottle pours a cloudy pale orange color with a 2 finger white head with good retention leaving some thin spotted lacing on the glass. Aroma is light fruit and yeast. Taste is light fruity with some grainy malt and intense bitter and sour finish. Medium body and good carbonation leave a nice tingle on the palate. Overall, a pretty decent strong ale.

From a bottle, pours cloudy golden with white head. Aroma has Belgian yeast esters, little white wine, little apricot. Fruity taste, dried fruit, wine more prominent. Dry tart finish, high carbonation. Interesting, pretty decent

Bottle from a trade

Head: small, bubbly
Colour: slightly hazy peachy pink colour
Smell: bubblegum, malts, vanilla, oak, white grapes, bit of acidity in the nose and some grapefruit like bitterness, overall very fruity !
Taste: start is bitter , grapefruit and peels, underneath is a bit of sweetness from the oak , a bit of acidity hits the tongue then all of a sudden comes a champagne like pearling and Brut flavour inside the mouth , lots of fruit , bit peppery , some slight almunds, end is very dry with a slight alcohol burn , aftertaste is floral , awesome brew , and i think it will develop very nicely with a couple years of age !

Bottle at The Anderson. Pours a hazy, light golden colour with a decent white head. Aroma of caramel, lemon and white wine. Not too sweet with some elderflower and shortbread also. Flavours of caramel, candy sugar, lemon, white wine, oak and marzipan. Moderate carbonation and a chewy mouth-feel. Tasty.

Unclear orange of color with a white head. An aroma of fruit, orange marmelade, orangepeel, candy, sugar, banana and weak spiced. A flavour of orange, hops, dry, oak and spiced. Could be nice to try it unoaked and with some more sweets.
