Bottle: Poured a hazy golden color ale with a large foamy head with medium retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of medium sweet malt with dry hoppy notes and some light vinous notes is pretty intense and unique. Taste is a unique mix between some dry white wine notes with light floral hoppy notes with a touch of herbs and some lightly sweet malt. Body is pretty full with medium carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Unique mix between the ingredients. I think I would have preferred a bit more vinous notes with less of the herbal components.

Bottle from Vika enjoyed at home
Copper hazy, beige head. Smells of honey, belgian yeast, malts and spices. Taste is almost heavy sweet, quite fruity, honey and some perfume. The perfume part makes the mouthfeel pretty bad actually. Medium biter finish. Not all that interesting really. For me this is just an overpriced beer that luckily ends up OK.

Bottle shared amongst friends for my "Massive Mikkeller" tasting. Aroma was a tad fruity with lingering hints of spice. Not really sure how I’d label this one because I was expecting a dark beer but this was pretty light and very drinkable. A very different beer and damn tasty and worth the hunt.

Sample @ SBWF 12. Cloudy orange colour with an off-white head. Aroma of fruit, apple, citrus. Flavour is hard to describe. Tastes a lot like white wine. Very different beer taste. Yeasty, sweet grape, sweet white wine, sweet berries.

Bottle at the Anderson, Fortrose, cheers Jim! Very odd. Passion fruit adn mango enormous on the nose but with a long dry finish in the mouth. Very interesting mix of flavours though not really my thing. Bit of a desert beer

On 35 cl bottle Vinmonopolet Vika. Golden color, ok foam. Aromas from nice Belgian yeast, also A lot of quite fruity aromas, some figues. Medium bbdy and high complexity. Some sweetness, but very well balanced. Very enjoyable

Medium white head. Slightly hazy yellow body. Fruity toffee and resin aroma with earthy gooseberry and strawberry notes. Dry-sweet fruity earthy taste with medicinal caviar (without the fish) notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, slightly astringent mouthfeel. Dryish sugary wooden aftertaste with earthy wine grape notes. Interesting, unusual, but also similar to other wine-cellared beers (except for the caviar). (0.375l bottle, wine monopoly, Vika, Oslo.)

37.5cl bottle BB 05/05/2016. Nice presentation, but ... but yet again, overpriced, remove the fancy-gimmick ’barrel aging’ and you have a very boring Belgian strong ale hiding behind. Meh.

Bottle looks a bit complex. Beer in the glass zippy, small head. Dry aroma. Starts strong, fine malty with fruity notes of apple. Modest sourish. Quite dry. Bitter background. Finish a bit milder, less fruity, still dry with bitter background. Interesting. Thanks to yespr for that one!
