4.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
I love this one so much I bought a crate at rhe Delhaize, so hang on:
Bottle 33cl, pours a gorgeous black with a tanned creamy mocca head which laces nicely to the glass. Extremely soft carbonation.
The aroma is surprisingly hoppy, with sweet malt, liccorise ( probably spelled that one wrong, but can’t be bothered to look it up now), caramel, touch of vanilla, bayleaf, sweet coffee.
Taste too is consisting of sweet malt, chocolate, coffee, bayleaf, smithering of umami, and just the right dose of hop bitterness to come to this elegant well balanced blend. An oily thick mouthfeel with an extra fine silt edge and that beautiful bittersweet aftertaste.
A beautiful beer shouldn’t always be complicated. Well, this is a beauty!
Told you Mikkeller never let me down sofar!

33cl bb03/2018, Delh. Won. - trademark PoMo take on a Victorian classic, de- and then reconstructing what is elemental and so tasty about this oldfashioned nurturing style: sweet fresh lactose, milk cream and strawberries on Grand Manier over charcoaled-roasted malts, Wiener Kaffee, chocolate. Kinderschokolade in taste is only an aspect of the sweetness soon blown up into fruity fragments of orangeat, yogurette, mocha ice cream. Great clean bitter hoppy ending sealing the deal. Not always a fan of the multitude of Mikkeller’s sins, but hats off to this deliciously drinkable piece of precision engineering.

notes. Sweetish roasty coffee taste with spicy roasty notes.
Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dry-sweet roasty wild berry taste
with fruity coffee notes. Nice, interesting, drinkable. (0.33l

33cl. Pours dark brown-black with dark brown head. Aroma of milk, sugar and surprisingly - stout. This is absolutely not what I expected, but trying this it immediately made sense. Smooth, easy drinking, sweet and enjoyable, yet stouty-dry and malty. I have not had any milk stout for more than 4 years, and I have actually forgotten the feeling.
