Delicious and well balanced. Aromas and flavors of roasted malt, toasted nuts, peanut butter, ash, bitter dark chocolate, and creamy milk chocolate. Medium bodied, super smooth and creamy, with a loooong, lingering finish of the above mentioned flavors. Super easy to drink, and not as sweet as I expected, actually, it seems rather dry overall. Love it! Wish I had more... --- tasted while on a long journey to understand the world around me...

The beer has a beautiful appearance. It had the perfect stout looks. The color of the beer is a beautiful black on the naked eye. A perfect layer of soft dark almond foam pours on top of the beer. A firm drape of the foam remains on top of the beer for quite long. The beer is so dark, I can hardly look trough it. I don’t know if it is clear or cloudy. Maybe the beer has a little ruby red touch to it. The smell of the beer is delicious. I smell a delicious dark bitter roast aroma. I love those roasted malts. De dark burnt bitterness is balanced out by a nice licorice sweetness. The roast aroma is perfect. It is not to bitter and just strong enough. It is quite an interesting smell. There is also a nice creamy touch to the smell. The taste is very nice. It has the same delicious bitter mouth filling bitter roast flavor as the smell. It is one of the best roasts I know, just the amount of bitterness and flavor. The beer is a little to sweet for my taste. The delicious roasty bitterness is flushed away by a strong soft sweet fruity sweetness, with some syrup tones that are just a bit out of balance. After the sweetness had settled a bit the delicious bitter roast flavor fills the mouth again. The finish consist mainly of this bitterness with a creamy touch to it. All in all, a lovely stout but just to sweet.

Draught at Mikkeller Tokyo. Nice chocolate stout with a milk edge, pretty rich mouthfeel, a bit too sweet for me though but this is a style thing, still a good brew considering the abv i guess.

Couleur brune, forte mousse cremeuse, beige.

Tap at Mikkeller Tokyo. Roasted malt, dark cacao, chocolate milk and cookies on the nose. Roasty and creamy on the palate. Average carbonation with a creamy mouthfeel. Good bitter, roasty finish with some sweetness. Tasty.

UPDATED: APR 14, 2016 Draft at a Bryggjan Brugghaus in Reykjavik. This is a wonderful stout. The stout pours a pitch black with a tan head and lacing. Very smooth with a roasted malt aroma. The taste was also special with chocolate, laced with licorice. The stout has a medium body with soft carbonation. The finish is clean with burnt malt as the chaser.

Tasted from the tap on the 25/03/2016. Black colour and creamy beige head. Aroma of ash, burnt malts, lactose and chocolate. Flavour is quite sweet and firmly bitter at the same time with roasted malts. Milky sweetness and bitter finish. Next one please!
