Bottle bought at Delhaize. Sweet, chocolate, caramel, nice stout. We can suddenly buy this in the supermarket. What is happening to the world...

Pretty nice milk stout. Not overly complex but nicely ballanced between sweetness and some bitternes. Notes of coffee, vanilla and chocolate.

Keg at BrewDog Shepherd’s Bush - London. Pours black-brown with a huge, lasting khaki froth. The nose has a lot of roast, burnt coconut, milk chocolate. Medium to big sweet flavor with lots of sugary chocolate, some charred meat, chocolate, dark fruits, dates. Medium bodied, creamy, with fine to average carbonation. Finishes sugary and sticky, with more chocolate, ashy roast, ripe dark fruits. Pretty tasty but a touch saccharine and lacking cohesion.

Almost pitch black, strong dark tan head with nice lacing. Aroma is sweet milk chocolate, lactose and strong roasted malt with some coffee. Taste is moderate sweet caramel and chocolate, lactose, hint of vanilla, bitter chocolate, and a very dry coffee bitter finish. Medium bodied and somewhat creamy.

One of three Mikkellers for sale at a Delhaize supermarket since last week. Thick, moussy, dense, deep beige head, colour a very dark mahogany, as good as black. Aroma of caffè latte, cappuccino, cured meat, bitter chocolate, coffee liqueur, ginger, cloves, walnuts, freshly toasted bread. Concentratedly sweet onset, chocolates and raisins, milk powder noticeable too, but not cloying and balanced by a basic, soft sourishness; very creamy, smooth, delicately soft mouthfeel, nice nutty and chocolatey maltiness, supple and sweet with the milky touch accompanying the whole palate; finishes in a gentle, restrained roasted bitterness paired with the continuing sweetness, like a coffee with milk and sugar, pointy accent of peppery hops as well, just enough to cleanly round off the finish but not disturbing the malts and milk effect. Very pleasant and gentle beer, certainly one of the better sweet stouts I had so far.
