Bottle bought in Copenhagen in June 2012.
Hazy orange/brown with a small head. This was a difficult beer to define. Wood, some bourbon, fruit, yeast, caramel and apples. Drinkable but unfortunately a bit chemical.

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle from Whole Foods in Folsom, CA. Pours dark brown with a creamy/foamy light tan head. Aroma is primarily bourbon. Full bodied. Flavor of dark, dried fruit, with kandi, and some definite bourbon/vanilla. There’s a strange fruity/malty aspect that is difficult to pin down. However, it’s a very flavorful ale. Not brilliant, but excellent.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
From the bottle at Big Beers and Barley Wines. If you like bourbon, this is your beer. Flavorwise, not necessarily ABV, this was more akin to bourbon spike with a quad ale and not the other way around. A little too much bourbon for me. Not bad, just a little tough.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle pours dark brown with big foamy beige head. Sweet malty aroma with fruits. Taste sweet and malty, brown sugar with bourbon, some dark fruits. Finish mainly a continuation of the taste. Palate a little thin, highly carbonated. Alcohol apparent.
Not your classic quad, in fact I didn’t get much sense of a Belgian ale at all. Still it’s a nice blend of bourbon and malt sweetness. Enjoyed this one.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours black with a thick tan head and a chocolate and bourbon aroma. There is a thick treacle and chocolate flavor with a slightly watery bourbon trail. A good sipper.
