COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Quadrupel barrel aged on Bourbon barrels. Nice malty taste with notes of dark chocolate and dark fruits. The barrel aging gives a nice warmth from the alcohol as well as a nice aroma of vanilla.

Bottle @ Christer. Hazy dark brown, big tan head that settles quickly, okay lacing. Aroma, malty, caramel, herbs, bread, red fruits, bourbon. Taste, malty, sweet, dark fruits, bourbon, vanilla, chocolate, wood, brown sugar. Maybe a bit too much carbonation.

(Rating #5205)

Not that impressed, definitely an aged Bourbon taste, but more of a cough medicine nature. Nothing like Anderson Valley or Firestone’s Bourbon Barell aged Beer’s. Maybe it’s a Quad thing. Definitely not my thing...

Bottle. Drank at home after a stressful first all-grain BIAB brew day. Pours dark ruby brown with a big reddish tinged frothy head that partially lasts. Aroma is a bit milder than I would expect but fresh red fruits, caramel, baking spices, fresh brown bread, lighter bourbon vanilla notes. Flavor is fairly potent with more bourbon booze throughout on top and doing a good job of obscuring the same. Feel is very lively, boozy bite and warmth, somewhat tannic and sticky end. This is hitting the spot for me right now. The bourbon and quad just works here.

Brune très foncé presque noire. Belle mousse teinté beige. Petit sédiment. Nez: très bourbon. Sauce soya/ bouillon de boeuf?!? Caramel au beurre salé. Boisé. Chocolat. Alcool. Réglisse. Gingembre. Bouche: très boisé. Légèrement sucré. Un peu acre. Noix. Datte. Fruité. Banane très mûre. Un peu mince.

Pours a Dark brown/mahogany with a ton of orange and yellow chunks of sediment. Nose has a great amount of bourbon with some dark fruits, caramel, roast, chocolate and vanilla. Mouth is very much quad like with a subtle bourbon presence. Not overpowering. Alcohol is also subtle. A lot of dark fruits-figs, raisins and plum. A little bit of caramel and cocoa. Pretty good, but definitely not great.

What can i say? Not as good as the raspberry white / red wine edition, but still mindblowingly good. Almost like whiskey and coke or even a rum and coke, but made with the bestest of the best. Warm, smooth, creamy, not too sweet, perfect finish. Gracias.

Pours deep hazy mahogany into a tulip. Off white head with medium retention recedes to hug rim. Soy and oak aromas. Hot with sweet caramel and vanilla upfront turning to over-ripe fruit before the dry lasting milk chocolate finish.
