Quadrupel barrel aged on Bourbon barrels. Nice malty taste with notes of dark chocolate and dark fruits. The barrel aging gives a nice warmth from the alcohol as well as a nice aroma of vanilla.

Bottle. Dark brown, small off white head. Lots of coconut bourbon, chocolate, golden raisins. Medium/full body, oily texture, soft carbonation. The bourbon barrels work well in this and it’s not as sweet and fat as the regular version but very flavourfull, which suits my taste.

bottle shared with northropfrye. Everything super high. I love it! Perfect beer perfection! I’m getting a lot of coconut out of this, which I haven’t gotten since the Three Hour Tour Beer from Town Hall. In addition to tasting and smelling amazing it also looks beautiful. I am gushing and I don’t care. Out.

Dark reddish brown body with brown foamy head, large bubbles, some lacing. Strong bourbon aroma, milk chocolate, dried fruit, peaches, vanilla. Taste is sweet, bready, fades somewhat quickly. Abv incredibly well masked. No booziness at all. Nice unique quad.

A dark bordeaux red beer, with a nice white head, stays for a good while. The nose is light bourbon, malty, sweet, some alcohol and some yeast. It is a medium to full bodied beer, with a nice carbonation. The taste is soft and malty. In the back there is bourbon, sweet and light bitter. The aftertaste is light, mostly malt and bourbon. A nice BA if the monk, but not special. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Imprescindible.

Pours brown with a medium brown lasting head. Nose is really fruity with nuts, toast, bourbon barrel, grapes, plums, wood, and oak. Flavor is very light spice, dark cherries, berries, grape juice, plums, sweet malts. Rich and fruity. Medium light sweetness. Slightly watery texture. I enjoyed this. One of the better mikkeller beers I’ve had.

375ml bottle. Nice dirty brown with a light beige heads that completely disappears. Bourbon, semi buttery, with some vanilla and oak overwhelms pretty much anything you get in terms of belgian yeast and sugars etc that you typically associate with an abt/quad. On the one hand I enjoy it because its a nice bourbon flavour but on the other hand I would rather have the bourbon compliment rather then overwhelm. High carbonation, moderate body, alcohol, sweet at first and then cloying on the finish. Promising but too unbalanced for my liking.
