This straddles the existential line of what a beer "is," in a DFH manner, but really doesn't succeed. Dark ruby color, fairly carbonated. Taste is strong raspberry tartness and sweetness on a thin wine base. No complexity here; it reminds me of a wine cooler. Mikkeller swings for the fences with each beer they brew; here they hit a foul ball.

37.5 cl bottle @ home. Pours dark reddish brown with some sediment and an off-white head that leaves a little lacing. Aroma is raspberries, vinous, dark fruits. Flavour is raspberries, berries, and oak – with a dry and tart finish.

Bottle. Aroma of fortified wine and sweet rasberries. Pours cloudy dark brown with a short tan head. Yeast sediment flating around eventually settling at the bottom of the glass. The flavors have dark fruit and woody notes with a tart and little sour finish.

Bottle at oakquinox 2013. Pretty strong raspberry flavor, sweet malt, raisin, some oak barrel, notes of red grape, berry, and yeast. Decent.

Bottled@vPBFII. Hazy very deep ambery brown colour, small head. Aroma is raspberry alcohol and some red wine. Flavour is red wine, raspberry extreme.

Pours a dark brown colour with a white head. Aroma of raspberries, caramel and grass. Flavour of caramel malts, tart raspberries, white wine, grassy hops, wood and some floral notes. Full bodied, thick mouthfeel and a tart, roasty, floral finish. Enjoyable.

Aroma has yeasty notes, malt, currants and spices. Flavour is tart with raisins, strong spicy notes and lots of currant juice. Actually this is nothing more than just a currant juice.

Pours dark copper color with a small head. Aroma of berries, fruits and some wood. Flavor of juice, berries, malts and some berries. Too sweet and juicy.

Bottle. Opaque mahogany pour with a foamy, rocky tan head. Aroma is rather funky and tart with wine notes, damp wood, tart berries and funky yeast. Taste is tart raspberry up front, slightly sour fruits as well with the wine kicking in mid gulp and both combining on the back end with light caramel, dusty yeast, wet wood, chocolate covered berries and dark fruit notes. Body is light-medium and rather lively with the carbonation. Finishes with more tart raspberries, wine notes, wet wood, soft yeast, light earthiness, dark fruit and caramel. Nice beer!

Opaque dark brown beer, little pale tan head. Light raspberry nose. Palate is light, airy and dry. A touch of that emulsion paint vibe that sometimes comes over in BA beers. Semi tart and natural tasting raspberry. Underneath is a wine tang and mellow wine flavours. Finishes semi dry. Almost a very god beer but that paint note is annoying.
