4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Wow! Deep ruby pour with an effervescent tan head. Aroma is raspberries, tart cherries, vinous. Lots of raspberries. Flavor is similar. Raspberries give way to wine and oak. Huge layers. Amazing beer.

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
A dark brown with plenty of creamy head. The nose is amazingly fragrant raspberries with some dryness to it. Fresh and light, a little tart, with lilting sourness and sweetness. Some base woody notes and mellow plum jam character. The finish is smooth with some real potency that I would hesitate to call bitterness, that makes my tongue curl up at the back. Amazingly drinkable and light at 10%.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours mahogany into a tulip. Tan head with medium retention recedes to skim surface. Caramel, raspberry and oak aromas. Dark pit fruit and chocolate upfront turning to oak before the lasting tart chocolate-covered raspberry finish.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Pours opaque brown with a large tan head that has long staying power and leaves nice lacing. Aroma is obvious raspberry with some woody and vinaceous notes as well. Flavor is medium sweet, raspberry, wood, wine all play a role. There is some lactic tartness present as well, which becomes more prominent toward the finish as the sweetness drys out. The raspberries dominate the rest of the quad notes one would expect, but if you ignore the style it is actually a pretty tasty beer.

5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
Bottle from Cornelius. This is the best beer Iíve ever had. Iím in heaven. Balsamic, wine, fruit, glorious Belgian mellow sweetness, zingyness on the tongue. Iím pouring the last drop, literally, from the empty bottle. Like the most complex almost weirdly wannabe sour / saison but canít be defined beer that tickles your balls wearing velvet gloves!

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
"Dark prune colour and brown head. Strong malty, dried fruit, yeast, banana, milk chocolate and cherry aroma. Taste is a nice dried fruit and yeast with a touch of sour tartness. Overall quite nice and rather unique."
Thatís what I wrote before I realized this was the wine and raspberry aged version, which makes complete sense now as it had an unusual flavour for a quad - the tartness I noted comes from the raspberries and wine.
