From bottle @ BBF 2011. Deep dark brown color. Monchéri bonbons and dark chocolate in the aroma. Spicy flavor with dark chocolate and cherry bonbons. Roast. Hints of balsamic vinegar. Still needs time, but delicious already.

Draft at BBF 2011, courtesy of Mikkel’s crew, thanks! Dark brown color, brown head. Aroma of must, dust, prunes, dates. Taste is funky cocoa and moldy coffee grounds. Interesting.

On draught at the Boreft Beer Festival, 2011. Brett aroma with a musty horse blanket, leather, caramel and treacle qualities. Quite tart with mild carbonation and CO2 prickle.

Murky brown, tiny head. Light sour at first but disappearing. Next wood, caramel, leather and bread. Complex but taste disappoints a little though. Bit of smoke. Can’t be bothered by this. (At Borefts)

38cl, at 10.5%Vol, as Monk’s Elixir (Lagret på rødvinsfade med Brettanomyces), new exclusive Danish brew Anno 2011, thx to Jeppe!, complex brew, fruity/vinous and slightly sour/woody, not too heavy, balanced, hazy, good head, good brew, yet very expensive!

10-SEP-2011, bottle @home, from "Superbest". Dark brown with a slight red hue. High lasting beige head. Nose is really bretty with barnyard notes. Taste is malty, caramel, red wine, gun powder and malty fruits. Tart and dry at first, but then sweet and malty. No real bitterness. Fantastic brew.

Pours a dark, dark brown. Almost black. I can’t see anything though this thing. Giant, fluffy, off-white, almost tan head. Slowly dies down with a huge wake of foam and lacing sticking to the side of the glass. Huge sour aroma mixed in with some sour cherry aroma and malt. Tart front, sweet middle and dry spicy back. This beer is simply spectacular. I wish I could buy barrels of it.

Ruby chestnut colour with a small off-white head. Aroma of fruit, various dried dark fruits, molasses, red wine and brett funk. Dry with a tannic sharpness, flavour of red wine, oak, dried fruits and dark sugars

A very complex beer - pours deep amber beer, light beige sticky head. Nose has hints of peach, raisins, turf - reveals a nice acidity that comes back immediately in the mouth - yet there is a nice balance with the sweetness and the roundness of the beer. Bitterness only kicks in the aftertaste. Makes me think of the Rodenbach Grand Cru with more depth and body. Nice!
