38cl, at 10.5%Vol, as Monk’s Elixir (Lagret på rødvinsfade med Brettanomyces), new exclusive Danish brew Anno 2011, thx to Jeppe!, complex brew, fruity/vinous and slightly sour/woody, not too heavy, balanced, hazy, good head, good brew, yet very expensive!
3.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 delnoche (402) - GERMANY - APR 24, 2013
12.7fl oz bottle poured into a Westmalle Trappist glass. Dark ruby/brown with fizzy tan head. Aroma is barnyard and slight candy sugar but later became red wine. Flavor is red wine, candy, copper. Rather sour due to the Brett. Medium carbonation, full body. Sour finish with a slight alcohol burn. Interesting beer, though not something I’d pick up again.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 womencantsail (6896) - Garbage Grove, California, USA - AUG 9, 2012
Pours a dark amber color with an off-white head. Plenty of dark fruit notes on the nose, mostly cherry, raisin, and grape. A little bit of tartness balances out the sweetness somewhat. Dark candi sugar and toasted malts are also prominent. The palate is fairly sweet and malty with a good amount of dark fruit flavors to it. Just a hint of Brettanomyces funk, and maybe a light tartness. Just kind of okay.
