Bottle at 2nd tuesday tasting. Pours brown with a red glow and a small off-white head. Aroma is sweet malt, blue cheese, red wine is very present, some oak and some red fruit. Taste is very nice with a sweet malty base, red wine, some oak, fruity and baslamic vinegar. Taste also reminds me a bit of Rodenbach. Really nice stuff this. Quite thin for a quad, but tastes really good.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy, brown beer with a small, off white head. Aroma is blue cheese, port, fresh, fruity apples and has a clear presence of wine oak! Wow.. awesome. Flavor is has some fruity funkyness to it with a sweeter base. Must be the quad influences mixed with the wine oak. This is incredibly well balanced between sweet and sour, beer and wine. Well done!

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Mortlach (711) - Rome, ITALY - MAR 13, 2012
05/01/2012 Brasserie 4:20 (375ml bottle).
