From bottle @ BBF 2011. Purple color. Barolo wine and gorgonzola in the aroma. Very tart with caramelly Rodenbach-like flavor. Cherry and marzipan, leather. Oaky. Thin but intense .

Bottle.
Hazy brown with a small creamy head. The aroma was really special. red berries, some alcohol wood and red wine. The taste was also quite special, a lot of toffee, wood, brett and red wine. An interesting beer but not the best one from Mikkeller.
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 Leighton (6973) - London, ENGLAND - AUG 29, 2011
Tap at the Craft Beer Co., London. Pours dark brown with a foamy head. Cidery nose, some berries and other fruits. Flavor is sweet and extremely sour. Makes one go weak in the knees. Tasty. Refreshing. Light warming finish, lingering tartness, some sweet malts. Good stuff.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 yngwie (10761) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - JUL 8, 2011
Bottle, 375ml, courtesy of Meilby. A clear-looking, reddish brown beer with a small, beige head. Rather acidic on the nose, with dried fruits and alcohol. A bit one dimensional. Flavorwise it’s much the same, it’s nice indeed, but it lacks complexity, meaning it feels one dimensional. There’s lots of vinegarish acidity, as well as dried fruits, some sweetness and alcohol. A quite nice one, dangerously easy drinkable. 110708

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20 RoyceH (1180) - Hesperange, LUXEMBOURG - JUL 1, 2011
Deep chestnut with hint of red. Nose is intense grape, cherry and red berry, sour, some funk. Mouth is slightly thin, red wine dominates initially, some alcohol here, then the sourness cuts through and lightens the mouth feel. Lasts till midpoint sour cherry and berry with a touch of citrus, then develops vanilla woody tones with cherry stones. Ends slightly sweet, very smooth, enjoyable, light. Excellent beer, will age well.

38cl, at 10.5%Vol, as Monk’s Brew Barrel-Aged (Dark Belgian Wild Ale Aged in Red Wine Barrels), new exclusive Danish brew Anno 2011, thx to Jeppe!, complex brew, slightly sour and fruity, not too heavy, balanced, hazy, good head, good brew, yet very expensive!
2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 10/20 Koelschtrinker (8491) - Köln (Cologne), GERMANY - JUN 3, 2011
Gelungener Fruchtantrunk, der aber ein wenig zu trocken daherkommt. Die Herbe übertönt das schwache Malz, das Bier wirkt daher laff. Nun leider deutlich weniger sauer, was zu einem zu kurzen Finish führt. /8/9/8//8
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Jaksmart (357) - Aalborg, DENMARK - MAY 31, 2011
Murky brown color, small brown head. Aroma has plenty of sourness, cherries, leather, alcohol, oak, red-wine, some feisty bitterness. Very much like a sour-ale. Taste is less punchy with a nice balance between sweetness and sourness. Oak and sugary flavours dominate, along with berries.
