Pours deep red brown with a fine, staying, creamy, beige head. Lovely laces. Aroma has clear red wine, molasses, roasted malts and dried fruit. Medium carbonation, fat and creamy mouthfeel. Flavour is mild oaky tart, lots of plums, figs and grapes. Clear red wine notes. Good dryness in the finish. Delicious, but the brett version was better.

Dark brown with a beige head. Aroma is red wine, dried fruit and rather bretty. Flavor is quite sweet and light sour. Light sour and acidic finish. If you’re not a fan of red wine, which I’m not, have the unbarrelled version instead. 230311
